Privacy and comfort await you in our beautifully appointed second-floor suite with separate entrance. Take in the sea breeze and breathtaking ocean and mountain views from every angle. This space offers a nicely furnished and very spacious covered veranda with an outdoor cooking area.

Inside, the suite is well-equipped with microwave, coffee maker, and apartment fridge. A 2-burner gas cooktop, kitchen sink, and eating bar sit just outside the sliding doors. An electric skillet and InstaPot are available too. The outdoor cooking area, while not a “traditional” kitchen, does the trick! Watch whales breach while making a salad or scrambling eggs!

A 5-minute walk takes you to Zippers Surf and a long stretch of white sand beach. Hike the adjacent arroyo up to the natural spring or go zip-lining across the canyon! Enjoy the convenience of nearby markets and restaurants.

It’s nice to have your own wheels in order to get around freely, but if you don’t have a car you can take Uber, a taxi, or the bus which stops at the bottom of our hill. A short drive gets you to Shoppes at Palmilla, world-class golf, Old Town San Jose, buzzing Plaza del Pescador, the marina at Puerto Los Cabos, and several Farmer’s Markets. Flora Farms is about 5 miles away and Cabo San Lucas is about 12.

We can hook you up with direct bookings for whale watching, fishing trips, yacht parties, horseback riding, and more.

Our Dutch rabbit and 2 yellow Labradors roam about the compound freely but will not bother you unless invited upstairs.

Absolutely perfect vacation home. Our hosts are fabulous and attentive to our every need. The outdoor kitchen has been very enjoyable. I love to cook and cooking while enjoying the view was beyond perfect. Everything is close by so location is great. We plan to return.

We loved our stay at Kimberly and Scott’s place!They’ve done an amazing job of curating a private, comfortable and welcoming space at their home - upstairs from their living quarters. And before you worry about having owners nearby, just don’t. They’re available when you need and make space for autonomy when you don’t. We personally enjoyed getting to know them, learning about their home and meeting their cute 14 year old lab pup, Pearl.The space is so clean, well appointed and offers inside and outside space options, including a private outdoor kitchen and sitting area that was great for seeing epic views and napping in a light breeze. The pool is shared on the main level and so well maintained.Especially lovely at this property: incredible sunrises from bed, welcome treats (Kimberly knew we had a long travel day - so kind), drinks in the fridge and ideas on what to see locally. Bonus? Wild horses in the neighborhood the day we departed. We did not have a car and for us that was no problem for us - we Uber’d or walked. There is a good sized hill involved but after so much snacking it felt good to move. The beach is 5-10 minutes down the hill and has a few great restaurants nearby if you don’t want to cook plus a Mercado for some basics. Amazing location, amazing hosts!! We will visit again when we’re in the area.

Kimberly and Scott were such wonderful hosts. Their dog-Pearl is such a cutie and a delight. All the previous reviews were spot on. Waking up to a spectacular sunrise every morning was wonderful. Relaxing on the veranda was so enjoyable and a great place to read a couple novels. I truly enjoyed the outdoor kitchen. Preparing sauteed asparagus and mushrooms while waiting for our pizzas from La Osteria to be delivered was so much fun.

Mi Casa Su Casa

We stayed at Kimberly and Scott’s upper apartment for two weeks. Kimberly met us at the gate upon our arrival with a big hug and she had snacks, cold drinks and a continental breakfast waiting in our apartment to get us started before grocery shopping tomorrow. Kim and Scott live on the premises and they were at our beck and call without being intrusive. Need another 5 gallon bottle of water? - no problem Scott was on it. Anything we wanted all we had to do was ask. Their casa is nestled in the hills with a gorgeous view of the Sea of Cortez. We were able to see the splashes of the whales as they traveled North. Kim brought up binoculars and wow it really was a spectacular sight. There is lovable old dog named Pearl to greet you and a Charlie the cat who will pretty much ignore you. You will need transportation to get restaurants but they were never more than 20 mins away. Our favorite spots were Fiorenza Italian Restaurant on San Jose Del Cabo Square, 7 Seas Grille & Seafood on the beach, George’s attach to a small hotel at the marina, and Zippers for breakfast. Our 2 weeks flew by and I left feeling as though we were saying goodbye to old friends. Rosemarie and Jack

Lovely gift basket in the room with fruit, cookies, coffee and other delights. Panoramic view of the sea, hills -- even from the shower. Very large deck with tons of space ànd outdoor kitchen with all essentials provided. Eating area to eat while watching the whales in Jan. We felt like we were on top of the world. Owner cares about your experience and offers you many recommendations to fully enjoy the area. Provided everything you need including beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels. Seven minutes from Palmilla Beach which is a beautiful swimming beach. We would come back!!

Yes, you can see whales spouting and jumping from the patio, and watch the sunrise from bed. It is truly a spectacular view. The owner is absolutely charming, and does everything in her power to make your stay as good as possible. She had welcome snacks for us, and baked muffins. The unit is above the main house, and, while you do have a private entrance, you do need to go around the main house. Parking was basically by pulling up on a side walk. You do need to drive about everywhere- except Zippers and the adjacent beach- you can walk to those.

Conveniently located paradise

We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts Kimberly and Scott were very friendly and greeted us with some delicious snacks and cold beer! The very private upstairs casita apartment has gorgeous water and hill views. The patio and room are large and spacious and very tastefully decorated. Fresh water provided and nice outdoor kitchen. The fridge freezer is of a decent size as well! The pool access is very nice to have. Would highly recommend!

Perfectly Perfect!

My husband and I stayed at Casa Carter for five days and this was our first time in Cabo. I can't begin to describe what a perfect time we had - in celebration of our 45th wedding anniversary. Casa Carter was just as described and so comfortable and spacious! We loved the veranda and spent a lot of time relaxing there and enjoying the gorgeous views! Our hosts, Kimberly and Scott were so gracious and accomodating...we felt at home the minute we arrived. Kimberly was there to meet us and we found a wonderful and delicious basket of snacks and fruit and cold drinks waiting for us. The bottle of wine she dropped off after we got settled was thoroughly enjoyed after our long day of travel. Kimberly provided great recommendations for places to eat and things to do! She was so helpful. We used Uber to get around and it was so easy and convenient and affordable! It is a short walk to the beach and Zippers, a local restaurant right on the beach. It is uphill going back, but very doable. We did use the outdoor kitchen a couple times and found everything we needed for our morning coffee and simple breakfasts and light dinners. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay and relax, then you must stay at Casa Carter. The bonus is that they have two lovely dogs and we love animals so ....enough said!

Paradise by the Sea

It is as indicated in the photos. Quiet, very private, beautiful views, and superb accommodation. The hosts, Kimberly and Scott, made us feel at home. The pool and hot tub were a nice features. The walk to the beach takes about 10-minutes. The beach goes on for a couple of miles. There is a large supermarket and many other stores down the road a bit that could be walked to ..., if you love long walks. For us, we used a Uber to get around. This is a great place to be alone with a loved one. Walking around the neighborhood we met a lot of very friendly people. Again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Carter. Our peaceful retreat

The suite is beautifully decorated with all you need for a comfortable stay. We prepared simple meals in the outdoor kitchen and enjoyed the amazing views while dining from the outdoor living area. It was pleasant in that we weren't bothered by pesky bugs... just that on occasional fly. The owner is so friendly, kind and helpful. She is a delight and very accommodating, providing us with information on local places, restaurants, stores and events. The pool and hot tub were refreshing, pleasant and private. I can't say enough how beautiful this place is. Not only is it beautiful, but we felt safe. Although there is air conditioning, we slept with the sliding doors open and enjoyed the breezes. The sunrises were amazing from the veranda.... as well as from the bed.

What a fabulous stay! This was our first time in Cabo, and our first time using a VRBO. The hosts were extremely pleasant and very helpful in logistics and suggestions - which we really needed! They had waiting for us a couple of bottles of water and beer in the fridge, and a basket full of snacks, including two homemade mango muffins. Their dogs are very friendly, but there is a gate to keep them downstairs if that’s your preference. We, personally, enjoyed their company. There’s a cute outside kitchen, but we only used the coffee pot. The bed was a lil firm, but comfy. And the view !!!!! Amazing. We were able to see whales from the terrace. Thanks to our most awesome hosts, we were able to find a tour company (East Cape Explorers) that would take us whale watching outside of the season. And what a show the whales put on for us!!!. The house is a short walk to the beach, but coming back home is uphill and quite tiring. And it’s a lil far to walk to most restaurants. Using Uber is extremely easy (this was our first time to use Uber), quick and pretty inexpensive. We had them pick us up at the beach, and take us back up the hill. Just know that Uber can not pick you up from the airport. However, they can take you to your return flight. All in all, we would highly recommend this VRBO for your stay in San Jose Del Cabo. Beyond expectations

How unbelievably fortunate I was to find Casa Carter. This far exceeded any of my expectations; the views vast and breathtaking, the accommodations incredibly comfortable, with everything I needed. I spent most of my days enjoying the views from the patio, cooking in the outdoor kitchen, or walking down to the beach. It is close to many restaurants and the beach so one can venture out without a car. My hosts, Kimberly and Scott, were incredibly gracious and welcoming. I truly believe that I have discovered one of the most amazing places in all of Cabo. I am counting the days until I can return.

Crush on Casa Carter…

We are back to the snow and cold of Canada and are dearly missing Casa Carter. The incredible view…the lovely suite…and the kindness and hospitality of our Hosts Kimberly and Scott. Our 10 day stay at Casa Carter was wonderful. The suite itself is well equipped and tastefully decorated. The outdoor space is generous and comfortable and the view….stunning. There weren’t many days that passed without seeing whale activity within five minutes of searching…lots of tail splashing and full back flip breaching. It was hypnotic. Casa Carter is a short drive to San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas…and a short walk to the beach. Be prepared for a bit of a workout on your walk back up to the room...it can be a little challenging in the heat. Kimberly and Scott are generous with their time and advice…and were so good to share their pooches Belle and Pearl with Clients needing a dog-fix. We appreciated everything about our visit and hope to return again soon.

Awesome Place to relax

This is one of the best properties we stayed , with a beautiful view over the ocean and very clean private place to relax . For us it was the first time in Baya Mexico but it felt like home. Everything about this property was as advertised. Unbelievable sea views from the patio and even the bed. One morning we were watching whales breech while drinking our coffee in bed. Kim and Scott were excellent hosts and were always available to answer questions and give advice on where to go and things to do. Kim made contact a few weeks before our arrival and that was very helpful. The outdoor kitchen was unique but perfect for the occasional meal. Nothing like cooking and eating with that unbelievable view. Kim and Scott made us feel very welcome and lent us beach chairs and umbrella and their beach recommendations were spot on. For dog lovers their 2 labs were adorable but never got in the way. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay. We were there for 8 nights and felt like we could have stayed for another 8.
