Wonderful retreat
This house was so relaxing we had a hard time leaving to go do anything! Location is 10/10 - one block to town and 5min walk to a great neighborhood beach. 5min drive to the funk zone. Everyone was very comfortable and felt right at home. The kids loved running around on the turf in the backyard while we BBQ'd. Would love to come back in the future and enjoy this beautiful place again.

Girls' Running and Spa Getaway
The property is conveniently located to every desirable location in and around Montecito. It is well appointed and clean and has multiple, lovely outdoor spaces for group gathers or personal space. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would return again. The host went above and beyond and was really helpful and communicative.

Amazing zen gardens

Beautiful, relaxing setting.
We were so pleasantly surprised when we entered this place. The inside was beautiful, but the outside had us blown away. So much room to spread out and enjoy the entertaining backyards!

Overall good experience
The good: 1.The home is in a great location with easy access to get everywhere in Montecito (walking distance to town and beach) and Santa Barbara (via e-bike) -Rental place in Montecito town. 2. Gardens of the home are beautiful and private and perfect to relax in and to have a nice BBQ 3. Beds are comfortable and large rooms except the one off the kitchen (Only a double bed room). All amenities were provided in Kitchen and bathrooms. Issues: 1. Communication with the host was difficult. Did not respond to messages via text message and messages through VRBO took over a week as Chris said he had issues with VRBO platform. 2. Dates booked through VRBO did not match confirmation sent from the host and took several days to get confirmation for the actual dates booked. 3. Hot Tub was very dirty as there was sand all inside of it likely from prior guests that were staying there. We ended up not using it. 4. Only main living area (by kitchen) and kids bedroom is air-conditioned. Some nights were fairly warm. Would be nice to have fans in each bedroom. Overall nice experience and would recommend staying here.

Lovely stay!
We had a wonderful stay - the property was plenty of space for our group of 9 (6 adults and 3 kids). We appreciated the large kitchen and all of the outdoor space. We weren't expecting to be so close to the train tracks (perhaps we missed that in the description) - but the noise wasn't bad. The ease of walking to the beach and "downtown" Montecito were a great plus!

Elegant getaway
What a lovely vacation rental! Many spaces for privacy and for group games and meals. Breakfast on one patio, lunch on another, mid-afternoon ping pong on a third. Easy walk to the beach or to the village to pick up fresh baked pastries for breakfast or take-out for dinner. Comfy beds, cozy blankets for late night movies, and well-equipped kitchen. Our extended family of 8 had a great time.

Annual Girls Trip
We had a wonderful and enjoyable time at this newly renovated property! Can’t say enough about the upscale home with 4 large bedrooms and 4 baths! It easily accommodated the 8 of us. Only slight annoyance was the location in between the 101 freeway and the Amtrak tracks. You could hear some road noise when outside and hear the train horns. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this property!

Perfect Reunion
The house and it's private outdoor spaces were perfect for our reunion of 3 families with young kids. The location is great -- a very short walk to restaurants and shops in Montecito and just a 7-10 minute drive to the heart of Santa Barbara. The property was recently redecorated under a new owner and was great. TVs just about everywhere including one in the living room that's easily 100". Kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment, and the propane grill is HUGE.

Wonderful get-away for a reunion for 7 old friends

Spending my 56th Birthday here was lovely
This is is one of the best that I've rented. It slept 11 of us comfortably. The property was definitely 5 star. We walked around the corner to the beach every thing we needed to have a wonderful day at the beach was stored on this property. They had everything except our beach attire. The yard was so serene, there was enough space for us all to have our private moments to relax. The kitchen was well equipped for a fee of our gourmet chefs. Every bed was so comfortable. We didn't want to leave them or the property. The grocery store and restaurants were walking distance, we totally enjoyed strolling through the neighborhood . The famous Luckys Steak Restaurant was a total hit. I can't say enough about our experience it was everything I wanted it to be for my bday celebration . This property is perfect for all age groups

Spacious and well-appointed house in convenient Montecito/ Santa Barbara location
This lovely spacious home includes four bedrooms and surprisingly large and peaceful outdoor spaces. The kitchen is well equipped and designed, sufficient for quality food preparation for eight of us. The beach and commercial Montecito are readily walkable. Santa Barbara is a short drive away. Two of the bedrooms seem a bit unconventional at first, although they both served very comfortably. The entrance to the house is on a quiet side street, requiring a quick turn immediately off the exit ramp from Highway 101. This is easy after the first time. The highway was minimally audible, although train tracks run at the bottom of the street with only a few trains each day.

Wonderful Family Christmas
We spent a wonderful family Christmas at Spring House- the eight of us and our doggies had a fantastic time despite the unusual downpour of rain. Betsy was so kind and set up a tree with lights for us & even found some decorations so we could make it more festive. All other reviews were right- the property was spotless, convenient and the kitchen well stocked with coffee pods & every pot, pan & blender or mixer necessary for us to make a traditional roast and sides & a wonderful dessert for a Christmas dinner. Plenty of towels, warm cozy beds, a great hot tub- we really couldn’t have asked for more. Can’t wait to return! Thank you Betsy for being such a thoughtful & gracious host!

Great holiday stay
We rented this property from Dec 27 2021-January 3 2022. We’re from Michigan and our children and their families, from Connecticut and Colorado, all had a great visit. The home is perfect for a gathering of six adults and three kids, and the gardens are beautiful. The hosts and property mgr were very accommodating and helpful. We made good use of the hot tub, grill, table tennis and pac man, as well as lounging in the California sunshine. The ocean is a five minute walk away, and Montecito is about the same in the other direction. Highly recommended!

70th birthday redo after coved
Very spacious, large rooms and common areas made it easy for us to all be together but to also move to other parts of the house for privacy or to the outside when it was nice enough. So close to Butterfly Beach made for a lovely walk. We walked to Lucky's for dinner which was easy but off ramp from 101 made for a treacherous walk, with no sidewalk for that 1st block or so, to the beach and across the bridge. Would recommend a slower speed for cars on that off ramp.

A Diamond in the Rough...secluded Oasis in a fantastic location!
We all agreed this is a very special property and enjoyed our 4 night 5 day stay enormously! At first the layout seemed a bit haphazard, but once we settled in and accepted the unusual floor plan, we fell in LOVE. All 9 of us agreed we would definitely rent here again! All the beds we extremely comfortable and linens in great shape. The outdoor yard spaces (as there are many) are sensational, comfy, lush and completely private. The kitchen was well stocked, we all enjoy cooking and enjoyed the kitchen, & outdoor grill a lot. Home is a short walk to both the beach and Coast Village Rd., where all the great shops and restaurants are. One we arrived, we rarely needed to get back it the car as we walked everywhere, this was a HUGE treat! If I had any criticism, , the home itself although very clean, was a bit cluttered. Simplifying areas would do it justice. Also upgrading the lighting to LED cans and LED bulbs in lamps would make a HUGE difference. The ceiling cans were dim and yellow, switching out to LED would be very inexpensive to do and would update the home tremendously. We were in town for a family wedding, and the ladies found it difficult to find a good spot with decent lighting to put on make-up. The home is a bit noisy, as it is adjacent to both the Fwy and the train tracks, although after a day or two, we no longer noticed the noise because we were enjoying ourselves so much. One last thing, my sister left some valuable jewelry at the home and Betsy kindly went out of her way to return it to her immediately. Thank you for a fantastic Montecito experience and hope to visit again soon!

The house is even better than the pictures
This house is amazing! We had 9 of us stay with our 2 dogs, we were in town for a wedding and this house was fantastic. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, so comfortable and more amazing than the pictures. We could walk in to town for shopping and meals, or walk down to a beautiful beach. I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was, the beds were comfortable, communication was faultless, when we come back to Santa Barbara we will stay here again. Thank you!

Location, Location, location!
This house is fantastic! We loved the location - short walk to Butterfly Beach and Coast Village. Betsy was fantastic to work with. She was gracious and very responsive. Coming from Texas, we were a bit worried about the house not having AC, but that was not a problem at all. The rooms had lots of fans and it was safe to leave the windows open for a fresh, cool breeze. We were very comfortable. This house is a gem!

Family Favorite
Perfect home to relax and enjoy the family. Lots of space for everyone. We cooked, played cards and even put together a 750 puzzle that was at the house. Walked the beached every morning and shopped at the lower village. Can’t wait to return next year!!!

Springhouse stay
I cannot begin to tell everyone how amazing this house was. Even after I booked it, I kept going back to look at photos because I wasn’t sure if this was going to be the house I needed for a family of 8 adults and two babies. The house in person is even more beautiful than the photos. We had two babies under. 1 and there were extra high chairs, walkers, cribs etc. the house itself had everything we needed to feel comfortable in for a week or longer. It was immaculate and sooo clean. I mean completely spotless. The master bedroom was huge and way bigger than the photos show. There were basically two backyards and plenty of places to dine inside or out. There was an extra den that closed so it became a room too. This house is so fitting for a large family yet we all still felt like we had space from each other! Amazing! I will be back next summer!

Absolute Perfection!
The house is beautiful and in a prime location. Easy and nice neighborhood - can walk to the beach and the Montecito shops. Quick drive to Santa Barbara sightseeing and beaches. Wonderful wedding weekend in Montecito
This is a beautiful Montecito property, with a 5 minute walk to Butterfly Beach. The home is spacious with larger than average size rooms. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms themselves are quite large. There were six of us including two small children and there was plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is the best equipped kitchen we have ever experienced in a rental and we have rented many homes. We hosted a dinner for 10 and there wasn’t anything there weren’t multiples of. We would definitely rent this home again. Oh and lattes and breakfast goodies from Jeanine’s down the street are a must!

Perfect House for our Group!
This house was absolutely perfect for a girls weekend away! We walked to the beach each morning with our coffee and enjoyed the short walk into Montecito to get breakfast. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a larger group as well as table space for meals. The yard was absolutely beautiful and we spent a lot of our time catching up at the large outdoor table. When we come back to Santa Barbara we will definitely book this house again.
