The Pros:
Pajaro Dunes Resort is dreamy. The location between Santa Cruz & Monterey is ideal and being on the beach is perfect. Even a bad unit is still a great unit. The bottom floor unit offered easy access to the beach and we really enjoyed its front location (building is shaped as a V with the bottom of the V being closest to the beach)
The Cons:
The unit needs some love. Our initial impression was not positive with the carpet stains, lack of decorating, and worn out furnishings but the unit is clean and everything was in working order so it grew on us.
The unit is stocked with the bare minimum. We had to borrow a blender from the neighbor to make salsa and we had to buy wine glasses which we left there for the next guests.
Would love to be given a small budget to redecorate/update the unit in a regal hgtv style makeover in exchange for a future visit. 😊
Since we have stayed in another shorebird unit before, we know how luxurious it can feel. I personally would spend a little more for a more deluxe unit. If you’re just wanting a good deal at a great spot, then you won’t be disappointed.
