On the first day, the staff provided a kind and thorough explanation, and the room was clean and well-maintained. The thoughtfully arranged amenities were also impressive. “We loved our stay at Lava House. It has lovely outdoor space with various patios and an open air dining area where breakfast was included. The room and lobby had purified water dispensers for filling water bottles. We stayed three night and could easily walk to restaurants, bars, pier. ”

“This was unfortunately the worst stay on our trip through South America. Not nearly as good as the pictures show! When we first arrived the rooms had gecko-fecis on doorposts and splines. I understand that animals get in, but it isn't that hard to check the rooms beforehand for a last cleanup before guests arrive. Shower worked inconsistently, would lose pressure and turn hot after a minute or two, which is the last thing you want after a blistering day in the sun. The air condition couldn't be...
