It didn't start out so great with a fairly poor check-in, probably because we came at 11 pm. The room also had it's issues with smell and noice, but the staff the day after was very friendly and helpful and did what they could to mitigate the first impression. They offered us complimentary breakfast and offerd us a new room, which we declined. They tried to fix the smell in the room by placing a dehumidifier in the room. The hotel otherwise is beautiful and is in walking distance from a lot of the places you want to see and visit while in Santo Domingo. And the ordinary day staff is very friendly and helpful.

Fint hotell men lite källarkänsla i vårt rum
Ett snyggt och trevligt litet hotell med perfekt läge. Liten restaurang finns. Trevlig liten innergård. Vänligt bemötande och mycket rent. Det stod i bokningen att morgonrockar o tofflor skulle finnas men det fanns ej. Inget problem för oss. Om vi hade stannar mer än en natt hade vi bett om att få byta rum. Det var ett stort vackert rum och badrum men det låg på bottennivå i ett hörn med litet fönster ut mot trappa där folk passerade. Kändes lite som en källare. Rum 113.

1st night we had no power and it was terribly hot! we left the next day to another hotel in downtonw eventhough I had paid an extra night.

Me gustó la habitación regular construida hace 500 años. El servicio sanitario no funcionaba bien. Cada vez que lo usaba quedaba sucio y al tocar la llave sonaba por horas mientras se cargaba.

It's a cute place but a bit run down. The rooms had a bit of an moldy smell and will need a bit more up keep. The staff was so sweet and nice. Breakfast is basic. The location is good but the place definitely needs more TLC.

We liked the character of the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were excellent. The owners and the staff were very attentive to the personal needs of every guest. One of the things they did for me was to make a special trip to get me gluten free snacks. It was very much appreciated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Luca Hotel! The courtyard was incredibly cute, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were amazing and so accommodating. There were tons of bars and restaurants near the hotel. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone spending time in the colonial city.

The place was really cute and everybody was really friendly, even though we only speak English. They helped us with finding good restaurants and it is located right next to The main tourist attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you like a smaller venue.

Comfortable room. Good breakfasts given in the patio. On the other hand, both Rooftop areas were accessible, but the bar was closed, and the jacuzzi was too cold to be enjoyable.

The staff was absolutely amazing, so was the patio courtyard? The water was hot and cold in the shower the TV didn’t work, and there was a lot of little things that needed to be fixed to help with the value to the cost of staying there. Luckily, the staff made out for it. They were so courtesy, courteous and inviting and helpful. Especially this European guy that I was like a manager. He was really great.

I am very satisfied with this reservation. Hotel is beautiful, cozy and rooms very comfortable and clean. Walking distance from many restarurants and the Colonial Zone most important spots. Only street parking available and must times is crowed.The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help you have a pleasent.stay It was my boyfriends birthday and everyone congratulated him and even gave him a bottle of wine as a gift. We will defintely come back.

The hotel was in a good area around shopping , bars and restaurants. The room was cleaned and pretty spacious. They also offered breakfast in the morning. All in all, good price, good location and safe.
