Both are typically Spanish towns, with their narrow winding roads and white-washed walls, but surrounded by gorgeous rolling hills and enjoying plenty of sunshine. If you're visiting in Spring, be sure to head to Sayalonga for the annual Festival of Nisperos (a type of local fruit), which celebrates the rich agricultural industry of this region with festivities, food, music, and activities. Algarrobo is similar, with festivals such as Feria, which fills the town with live music and passionate flamenco dancers during August. Algarrobo is also known for its delicious cakes called Tortas de Algarrobo. Make sure to grab a few of these sweet treats to take back home with you! Both towns are part of the popular 'Route of Sun and Wine', which is a suggested route for visitors to the region wanting to enjoy the Spanish sun and indulge in a glass or two of some local vino.
