Welcome to NATURE WALK Lake House at beautiful Sunset Ridge on Barren River Lake. This unique home offers two separate living quarters separated by a common covered breezeway. Each suite has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths for a total of 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, offering social distancing at its very best. NATURE WALK is PERFECT for large groups or two families and has the most beautiful sunsets on Barren River Lake (seasonal). The two living quarters share a common screened breezeway and deck. INCREDIBLE lake front home with new steps leading straight down to the lake. An aluminum DOCK on deep water is perfect for fishing, swimming or kayaking. This property has a private tennis court with half court basketball goal, pickleball, fire pit, pool table, and a shed full of outdoor games.

Nature Walk is just over a mile from Bailey’s Point Campground, Boat Ramp and Picnic area with a working dairy farm right across the street. Barren River State Park/Lodge is within 10 miles. There are several marinas nearby for boat rentals and all your fishing needs: Barren River State Marina, Narrows Marina, and Walnut Creek Marina. Day trips from this location include: Bowling Green, Beech Bend Amusement Park, Nashville TN, National Corvette Museum, Kentucky Down Under, Mammoth Cave National Park, Western Kentucky University, The MINT Gaming Hall in BG and Franklin, KY.

Great property for four families with kids 8-12 y/o. The house layout was excellent and we didn’t experience any dairy farm smell. The house was clean, pleasant, filled with light and had great views. Lots of stairs in the house and down to the water. Despite the high water, the dock was still accessible with a bit of effort (scurrying along the shoreline or wading to the ramp). We greatly enjoyed swimming (very warm water) and fishing from the dock (sunfish between the dock and shore) and the lovely sunsets Bringing our own life jackets was cumbersome but very useful. A couple issues: renters will likely need to purchase more toilet paper and paper towels, The AC in one upstairs bedroom didn’t work well. This being said, we still strongly recommend the property.

Spacious and beautiful

As two full houses connected by a breeze way, this is a comfortable place with nearly everything that we could need. It was nice having two full well-appointed kitchens. The layout meant that there could be a quieter side, away from the energy of the little ones, which was good for Grandma. The sports equipment (pickleball!) was well stocked. Cindy was a very welcoming host, leaving little treats and surprises for us. The lake was at record levels and combined with the rain during our stay meant that we didn't use the dock/lake with the little ones in our family. Since we were part of a larger group (in other houses), the strict occupancy/usage rules meant that we didn't use all the amenities as we would have liked. All in all, it was a wonderful stay. Thank you Cindy!

Beautiful home with a responsive host

The home is beautiful with great amenities. The kids loved playing pickle ball and practicing in the batting cage. The amenities such as the pool table, recreation area, pool and home is showing some wear and tear but still lots of fun and home is clean. The host was very responsive when issues arose with air conditioner and toilets. Host can't help it and does state there is a working dairy farm across the street, just be aware that the dairy farm smell gets very strong at tines but is isolated in the outside area. Unfortunately the center area where the large dining table and pool table is located is in a screened in area that is susceptible to the dairy "air". Eating in this area or playing pool can be challenging when the dairy smell is strong. Overall our group had a wonderful time.

Best Lake House on Barren River Lake

This is the third year in a row my family has stayed in the Nature Walk. The size, location, set up, and well stocked kitchen, make it perfect for our group. Checkin is always easy and the amenities as described in the listing. We’ll be back next summer!

Lakeside Bliss

This house has it all. Unfortunately, the water level was too high to use the dock. We still made good use of the pickleball court and fire pit. The kitchens were fully stocked and the gas grill was easy to use. Thanks for a great family trip

Gem in the Woods

This property its definitely one of the BEST we have stayed in. We never stay in the same place, but all of the couples said they would definitely like to stay here again. The lake view is fabulous, especially with the beautiful foliage colors. Cindy was very responsive when I emailed her with questions. The property is beautiful, clean and well equipped with everything you may need. We never left the property. There were 4 couples, we rented both sides and we had ample amount of space. Everything was easy from the drive, check in, stay and the leave. The bedrooms were so cozy and the beds made for a good nights rest. The kitchen was well equipped with all of the cooking utensils and appliances you may need. We love sports so again any recreational game you can think of is there. We had a Great time!!!

Fantastic Stay

This was our first experience as company using a VRBO instead of hotel rooms. It was a fabulous experience. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone. Very well put together has all the essentials you could need. Beds were comfortable which is a huge plus. Overall completely satisfied with the whole thing.

Multiple family Vacatiom

Multi family trip to Barren River Lake. The location was perfect for easy drop off and pick up of family members. The separate living quarters were ideal for traveling with generations of family members. Plenty of room for eating, napping, and much needed separation at times. Fabulous Lake House

Perfect lakefront property for a large group. The location is perfect, both kitchens are well stocked, beds are comfortable, the deck, screened porch and fire pit are great areas to hang out. This was the second year we booked this house and plan to return next year.
