“Lovely Inn with friendly and welcoming staff. Room was spacious and bathroom clean. Over the bath rainfall shower. Food in the pub was good. Standard pub fayre with specials. Angel of the North visible from the window and five minutes drive away. We wanted to be near the Beamish Living Museum and this was perfect. A 10 minute drive away. The only slight disappointment for us was that breakfast ended at 9.00 so we had to be up early and would have liked a bit of a lie in, but that's just our...

“Great staff, couldn’t do enough including one lending me his phone cable. Reasonably priced accommodation and food. Beautiful setting near Beamish museum. Large comfy bed, bath robes, bottled water and teabag’s etc. Shower grouting could do with a clean but good pressure. Very shallow washbasin which splashed you when the taps turned on if you’re not aware of it. Would definitely stay again.”

“Lady doing check in was lovely , super friendly and helpful . Couple of issues resolved quickly after a few laughs . TV positioning and size bizarre . Would recommend displaying WIFI login details in the rooms in future . Room needs a bin , not just a bathroom bin . Good close parking, big spacious room with a nice comfy sofa . Lots of potential in room , but in need of updating . ”

“We were amazed by our stay at OYO townhouse. We stayed in Le Jardin room and know Durham well. It surpassed all expectations with a truly gorgeous room with a beautiful that was also very private. The hot tub was super and lit up lovely in the evening/night. The service was exceptional and we were well looked after by a range of people. The hotel bar was really lovely too and we enjoyed this before and after meals. We were lucky enough to get engaged on our stay here and it made the whole trip...

“Very comfy beds. Clean, light room and friendly staff. Tea and coffee available in the room . The karioke downstairs stopped at 11pm which was fine and we slept well. We could have done with some towel hooks or a rail and a few instructions like how to turn on the radiator and what to do with the key when we left ( we worked those things out in the end !)”
