Två av de dubbla sovrummen och ett duschrum ligger på bottenvåningen, där det också finns ett grovkök som leder till ett härligt solrum, med utsikt över den stora inhägnade trädgården. Njut av att äta utomhus medan du tittar på barnen och husdjuret leker. Det rymliga vardagsrummet / matsalen rinner längs hela huset och ligger på första våningen för att maximera den fantastiska havsutsikten över gyllene sandar och mot Bamburgh Castle från fönstren i full höjd. Köket, ytterligare badrum och sovrummet, även med stora fönster, ligger på första våningen.

Seaview House ligger vid St Aidan på kanten av den traditionella fiskebyn Seahouses, där det finns terum, restauranger, pubar och affärer, allt inom en kort promenad. Ta en tur till Farneöarna och se de sötande sjöfåglarna och de grå tätningskolonierna. Bildvykortet Bamburgh, skyddad av sin dramatiska fästning, ligger 2 miles norr, med sin vida gyllene sandstrand, där tidvattenön Lindisfarne kan ses. Inbäddat i historien ligger Waren Mill ytterligare 2 miles uppför kusten. En gång en viktig hamn har dess hamn för länge sedan försvunnit, siltat upp under sanden på flodmynningen. Fågelreservatet vid Budle Bay har en stor utsträckning av lera vid lågvatten, vilket är hem för tusentals havs- och landfåglar, perfekt för intressanta fågelskådare. Marknadsplatsen Alnwick, med sitt slott och många faciliteter, ligger några miles inåt landet. Alnwick Garden, med sin Grand Cascade vattenfall och restaurang inom det största trädgården i Europa, ligger inom räckhåll och en populär attraktion. Ridning finns i närheten och det finns en imponerande golfbana på länkarna i närheten. Seaview House erbjuder ett idylliskt kustnära reträtt för familjer och vänner som vill utforska Heritage Coast, som utsetts till ett område med enastående naturskönhet. Strand 50 meter. Room with a View

The location and view from the lounge window are stunning and really enhanced our overall experience. We enjoyed the walk into Seahouses for food each evening and marvelled at the beauty of the sunset on the return trip. The house is spacious, allowing enough room for guests to opt to be in the thick of it with the family or to sit somewhere quieter. Outside there is ample parking on the front of the property and the fully enclosed rear garden was ideal for our dog. We have said that we'd love to return with our granchildren too.

Outstanding house - everything we’d hoped for. Absolutely perfect for family and friends with a love of being in the outdoors and long beach walks with the dog. The house is exceptionally well equipped and lovely that in December we could regulate the heating. So much storage space and the sofa in the lounge is incredibly comfortable and frames outstanding views of the Farne Islands and Bamburgh Castle. Great to have so much off road parking and the secure garden and sunroom was simply ideal for letting the dog out safely on dark evenings. The welcome pack was a real treat- thank you. Already booked again for next year.

Wow what a fabulous stay! This is a hidden gem! Stayed here as a couple for 5 nights in early Jan. The house is well laid out, has AMAZING views of the sea & is a short walk from Seahouses main shops & pubs. A few reviews mentioned the couch being ripped, the photos have not been updated as it has the most amazing new huge corner sofa in a soft buttery tan colour, you sink into it & can lie and look at the waves, unreal! The photos do not do this place justice & we will be back!Pros: - The view & location. Huge windows in the living room allow you to watch the sea & waves at all angles with a view of Bamburgh castle to the left, Farne islands directly in front & Seahouses to the right - Well stocked kitchen, I cooked here most days to some degree & only thing it could have done with was a sieve & that's being picky. Otherwise has everything you could need, huge hob & cooker etc...-Large bath in the main upstairs bathroom. Greats showers too-Fab heating throughout the whole property- Balcony upstairs & very large, safe garden area-Comfortable beds-Very clean throughout-Fab big tv - note we couldn't get our firestick in the HDMI slot so had to take it apart. This could be solved with a HDMI extension cable, we'll take one next time. Some feedback:-No hairdryer - not a hassle to bring one but I didn't as I assumed they'd be one -Upstairs front main bedroom is noisy. We had one very windy evening & had to sleep elsewhere. You can hear the main road & sea (which is lovely) We think this is due to the window unit having a gap in it. -No curtains in bedrooms (only blinds) & lights at the front of the property make the main bedroom light. Very minor & it wouldn't put us off coming back. 100% recommend.

Fabulous location and views to die for, brilliant walks, great fish and chips in Lewis chip shop, brilliant boat trip to Farne Islands on the Serenity boat, loved Bamburgh castle. We all loved it.

We all loved it. Wonderful place to stay. Could sit and watch the changing view all day. Only 2 things bothered us: the extractor fans in the bathrooms didn't appear to be working and there were no cords to pull. We booked this for Christmas 2019.

We booked this for Christmas 2019. The house was great, perfect location and all the amenities you could ask for. We noticed other reviews saying the kitchen wasn't well equipped so we brought our own baking trays (so as not to have a spoiled xmas dinner!). Indeed the baking trays supplied were worse for wear but there was ample crockery - plenty of cups, plates and glasses so either other families have over used or the owner/managers have listented to reviews and sorted it. Other reviews are correct in that the blinds in the front bedroom are useless and you're basically trying to sleep in daylight especially as the lights on the drive come on automatically and cannot be turned off at night. There was a large garden which was fully enclosed. The garden could do with some attention and the conservatory was too cold to use at that time of year but we could see how it would be a great addition for families in summer. What has really let this place down for us is price and I think it's probably an issue for the area. This is Seahouses, not Florida. It's cold in winter (and most of summer) and there's not a lot to do once you've done the shops and the boat ride. The house, although lovely and well located, was not out of this world. Even though it was christmas there was no effort made to make the house nice or special like add a few decorations to warrant the higher price we paid for the Christmas period. The welcome hamper consisted of a few teabags and some buiscuits. We paid over £1000 for a week - this was a huge treat and as it was Christmas we wanted something by the beach and this was one of the few properties left. On looking to see what the price would be at other times of the year in 2020 it's equally high. We thought about booking for Christmas next year but the price is already several hundreds more than we paid last year, way above inflation and not really justifiable. The sad thing is while we were there the town was totally deserted. We had visited a different property in April when it was much busier. When I asked the locals they all said the same thing; much lower visitor numbers than normal and they blamed this at least in part on the cost that certain companies are charging for properties especially in school holidays. We went to the curry house for a takeaway and the restaurant was absolutely empty on a Friday night! By comparison, I'm just about to book a villa in France for the middle of August, all mod cons with wifi, air con etc (i.e. comparable standard) and it's still £400 a week cheaper than the price quoted for this place. Don't get me wrong, you'll have a fab time if you book here and I guess a big family or a group sharing would make it worthwhile. But the increase in price in our view simply isn't justifiable. Our party of 4 (+ 1 dog) stayed in Seaview Cottage for a long weekend in December. The location sold it for me, right across from the beach, who needs tv! My husband & I had the downstairs area and it almost felt like we had our own flat, such a spacious house. If I was being ‘picky’ I’d suggest putting a larger mirror in the bedroom and perhaps some storage space in the downstairs bathroom (there was nowhere to put toiletries) but that is literally all. Excellent location as only minutes to the beautiful beach. Wonderful sea view, but note it is not quiet as while we were there was a near constant string of people walking past on there way to and from the beach. We would probably stay again however the property is slightly let down by the quality of finishing touches in some parts of the house. For example: Cheap equipment in the kitchen (pots and pans) Lots of chipped crockery Only two of the 8 dining chairs had cushions and those were heavy stained Only a handful of hangers in the whole house and those that were there looked to be a mish mash of ones left by previous guests Poor welcome pack of a few tea bags and some individually wrapped biscuits, we have seen much better attempts at other properties. We really enjoyed our holiday.

We really enjoyed our holiday. However - There is a severe lack of mirrors throughout. The pans need to be upgraded as they are next to unusable - nearly everything just burnt. Excellent location and overall a really good property. Marked down due to a few issues - cooker very temperamental - some of the settings on the over didn't work. Also some crockery badly chipped and unable to use (there was still enough for 6 people). Would benefit from an outside tap to enable you to rinse shoes/feet after being on the beach. We would rebook this house in an instant. We loved our time here. It's actually better than the photos show. Plenty of space, very comfortable and the view is amazing. It takes two minutes to get to the beach and is a short gentle stroll in to Seahouses centre. Very minor points....Having more crockery would mean the dishwasher could be more useful and having mirrors in the upstairs bathroom and the bedrooms would be desirable. If you're holidaying with a toddler I'd advise you to take a safety gate as the living area and kitchen are upstairs. We needed a couple of blocks in order to fit ours as the staircase is wide But, overall.... Absolutely brilliant. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

If I had to criticise anything it would be that there should be mirrors in the bedrooms and upstairs bathroom and maybe more crockery and cutlery to be able to make good use of the dish washer. Overall a good holiday , accommodation good and obviously been modernised BUT let down by the small basic items. No oven gloves, need more coat hangers, no hairdryer, household waste calendar a year out of date. Bottom warming oven filthy . No spare toilet rolls, no soap to get us going , bedside lightbulb gone. Venetian blinds dirty Front out side lights need to go off earlier as the light gets through the Venetian blind Pile of building rubbish in front garden. Seaview House is a stunning property, possibly one of the best we've ever stayed in. Exceptionally clean and in an excellent location with views to die for. If I was to be really critical, the only irritating thing was only one door key. The cottage has three bedrooms and that means potentially three couples staying who may wish to go their separate ways during the day. Five of us shared this house and found there to be plenty of room for us all to enjoy private space when needed . The view was superb, the walk into Seahouses just enough for my 75 year old mother. Local amenities were very good, with a superb Italian restaurant in town and loads of fish and chip opportunities!! Beds were comfortable, showers great, kitchen facilities superb. Parking for two cars was comfortable, but four would fit in a q in the drive. Be sure to take the short walk down to the beach....it is beautiful. Only one point stopped a full 100% score. The blinds are not good at keeping the light out. You may wake early on sunny mornings...although that may not bother you. :) Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
