We had a great time as we had a big occasion to celebrate and had not seen family members, in some cases, for over 6 months. Also, we love Northumberland, we brought our children up there. We had imagined the property to be a cottage, as desribed, however, really it is a modern looking apartment in an old building. It comprises first and second floor accommodation. We were 6 adults, mostly very tall,so the restricted head room in places caused problems. Our friend, who stayed 2 nights at the start of our trip, banged her head in the living area and she is fairly small. Purple bruise to show for it. The entrance to the square is very tricky as is parking if you have more than one car. I think the apartment would be ideally suited to a family with 3 or 4 children, not 6 adults.
However, the property was obviously a Labour of love for the owners and had a lot going for it, mainly the views from the living area which were wonderful.
WiFi, was problematic!
