“Room was huge and had the most amazing view. Although the sofa was comfy my favourite spot was sitting on the window seat. Had a lovely meal in the main hotel and breakfast was good too.”

“The only criticism i have is too late for booking in and on a personal note i think 08:30 is a little late for breakfast. Beside that i found the place fantastic. Great accommodation and friendly staff and ideally situated for exploring the lake district.”

“A charming pub in a great location, but can get crowded. Comfortable room, modern bathroom, everything clean and tidy. Coffee-making facilities in the room a plus. Good food in the restaurant (including breakfast) and a good selection of beers in the bar. Service is directed mainly towards bar customer, so it can be difficult to get attention as a hotel guest. Parking in a dedicated carpark just over the road.”
