“Beautiful property in Port Carling, right on the water. Plenty of space, well furnished and equipped with kayaks and paddle boards. AC not working, oven not working, patio umbrella broken and barbecue very dirty. Couldn’t find any garbage bags or paper towels. Otherwise had a fantastic time with friends thanks to Lux Muskoka!”

“Stayed August 2025 with family of four. We found other reviews to be largely accurate. Cottage was clean, comfy, well stocked (except we never did find an ice cream scoop lol). BBQ worked, lots of activities indoors and outside, good sitting areas, great location albeit on a busy lake.It's a stretch to say it has AC. There's a portable unit in the back hall with maybe a five/six foot hose. It didn't reach let alone cool the south-facing main area. It's probably fine most times of year but...

“We had a wonderful stay! The house was great, as described. We were happily surprised by the trampoline in the yard. We were a large group and the house accommodated us very well! The owners were quick to respond to messages. There were also basics in the kitchen like sugar and salt and coffee, which was very helpful. I will mention that the water did have a smell. “Very clean, well-appointed, seamless check-in process. We loved the 3 bathrooms, 2 dishwashers, 2 garbage/recycling cupboards, 2 washers & dryers, espresso maker, ample dining areas, and the baby grand piano!! Comments for families with young kids:- no sandy beach or swimming water; we drove to a beach nearby - very large great room made for amplified sound, making it challenging with littles sleeping upstairs - no dry wood for fire pit so no s’moresVery good hosts!!”
