“Pool was out of order for maintenance. Which was a BIG reason for choosing this site for 5 nights. Location was wonderful. Room was clean except for floors. More spacious than expected. Little balcony was a cute touch. Continental breakfast was great on the weekend, during the week it was like it was only what was left over from the weekend. Very lacking and disappointing. Elevators were very quick but terribly filthy and unsanitary. We actually left a day early due to the pool being close...

“Not good. I knew not to expect much but for $104 a night but I didn’t think it would also smell like sewage and vomit. Stained mattress cover hanging out of the sheet, unreal grime levels as pictured. Would not have stayed the night if I’d seen these things before getting back to the room too late to leave….not worth it. Save and go somewhere else cleaner that won’t make you feel like your skin is crawling. Also pool looks like it’s been closed for a decade. Front desk guy was nice.”

“A good hotel, a bit off from 'downtown' St Joseph, but with a car everything is possible. Good wifi, decent breakfast. Loved the pancake machine! We also very much appreciated the washer&dryer onsite - very convenient. There is also a gym which my husband used, but I wanted to run outside (a bit hot). If only the city could fix a footpath/sidewalk from the hotel to the bridge (about 1/4 mile), access would have been perfect. The nice restaurant next door and the beautiful sunset over Lake...

“The breakfast on Saturday morning was the best part of the whole stay. Great server great food and quite tasty ! The room was very clean but the internet was intermittent The TV was on and off every time it rained. Plus our room phone did not work at all.... Needs work. ✌”

“I reserved a Double Queen Suite which sleeps 6. The photos showed 2 queens plus a pull out couch in an adjacent room. What I got was 2 queens and in the adjacent room a live seat which was not a pull out. I attempted to call the front desk from the room phone… which had no dial tone and turned out not to be connected to anything… apparently just decorative. I called the hotel on my cell.. I was told that the property has NO pull out beds, and that they have NO CONTROL over what Expedia...

“Breakfast was set up awkward, struggled to handle a large crowd. Our room was clean but housekeeping never came in during our stay. Most other hotels always tend to come in every other day. I'm guessing this needs to be requested. Other then that the staff was very helpful and very welcoming.”

“Hotel advertised as a hotel with continental breakfast. Only has coffee and juice Room was clean but need major updates on property. Our room by windows floor was cracking and dent on floor. Other was good for sleeping hotel”

“Front staff was great, kids pulling the fire alarm-not so great. But definitely not the staffs fault. Our room could have been cleaner. Corners in the bathroom haven’t been touched in awhile, used beer can left in cupboards (we had a suite), old piece of tomato left on carpet under the footstools. Location was good, easy to get to.”

“Terrible experience. The lady at the front desk told us we could not get towels for the pool. She said they were for people who were checking in later that night, but the pool was closing in 10 mind. I have NEVER seen people handed towels as they check in. My daughter and I weren’t given anything when we checked in! She was rude and just didn’t want to work. There were people drinking at the indoor, no alcohol allowed pool, and they left their cups of white wine around the pool when they were...

“We had planned to stay here just one night while passing by, but when we arrived we felt so uncomfortable that we actually looked up another hotel to stay at. Our stay at this hotel was not refundable, but despite this we decided to stay at another hotel because we did not feel safe staying at the red roof inn”
