  • Nestled in Shiloh of Camden County, NC, this wonderful house offers a terrific retreat for guests seeking comfort and relaxation. Our beach home "Driftwood Point" is only a short 23 min drive to downtown Elizabeth City with many restaurants and events year-round and 49 miles to Kitty Hawk Pier in the Outer Banks. With three bedrooms featuring a king bed, queen bed, and a bunk bed with a Twin XL on top, double on the bottom, there’s plenty of space for families or groups. Two bathrooms include a primary garden tub and separate shower, double vanity & hair dryer, making your stay even more enjoyable. 2nd bathroom has a shower/tub combo, toilet & single vanity. The house stays cozy with heating and cool with new HVAC, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere year-round. Enjoy views from almost every window of the Pasquotank River. Great crabbing and fishing, swimming, sunbathing on the small adjacent sandy beach, gathering driftwood, boating or jet skiing if you have them, as the public boat ramp is just around the corner and visible from this yard. Feel free to bring your own canoes, paddleboards, boats, jet skis. Whether you’re unwinding after a day of adventure or gathering for a meal, this home provides a welcoming space to create lasting memories. New in 2025 kitchen fridge, dishwasher, stove & microwave, everything is freshly painted, new flooring, new toilets. Experience the magic of Shiloh on the River at our enjoyable house with AMAZING sunsets. This is a great location for duck hunters in the colder months or just enjoying the cozy house with so many amazing water views. Certain times of the year you may be lucky enough to see dolphin in the River! Currently the detached garage is not accessible to guests, but we have future plans of adding a grameroom for any rainy days.

Best weekend! We rented Driftwood Point for a family wedding. The home and the view did not disappoint. The home was nicely decorated, comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen was nicely appointed. My husband has me looking for the pillows for home. We loved this home. Oh, and the bald eagle was a welcome addition.

Our family had the best time! I have older teens and young adult children, and my mom with us and we didn't leave for our first 2 days here. Between fishing, kayaking, the swimming possibilities, and nightly game of Monopoly, this was absolutely perfect! We were here in mid July and a pod of dolphins spent one whole afternoon straight out from the pier not to far away. The only 1 thing that was "inconvenient" and I use that term loosely because we absolutely loved being away from the hustle and bustle. To go eat, it's 25- 30 minutes is the closest town. Not an issue at all for us, but some may feel differently, if quiet away from reality is what your looking for this is your place! My husband and I sat out on the pier last night and was already discussing our next trip here. SIDE NOTE: I have great pictures I would love to share but the site won't let me. Will try later.

Shiloh means “peace” or “tranquil,” and that is exactly what we found at Driftwood Point: peace and tranquility.Shiloh is a very special place to our family; having such a beautiful, private space to return to made this visit even more meaningful. Being on the water instantly calmed our nerves and felt like a balm to the soul.The home was welcoming, comfortable, and had everything we could ask for. We loved sitting on the comfy couch talking together, sharing meals and playing games around the tables, relaxing on the screened porch, and soaking up the sunshine and spectacular sunsets from the pier.One Mill Park was a favorite place of ours when we lived in Camden years ago, and it was incredibly special to be nearby again and look across the water toward our favorite fishing spot.The wildlife was unforgettable: herons, a cardinal, countless dragonflies, jumping mullet, dolphins in the river, and even a bald eagle flying overhead!The location was perfect for visiting friends, Elizabeth City, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Kitty Hawk, but some of our favorite moments were simply staying put, enjoying a home-cooked meal, swimming in the river, talking together, and watching the sun go down.Our only sadness was that we couldn’t stay longer. We would absolutely love to return and spend more time simply being still at Driftwood Point. Communication was wonderful, and the family was kind, responsive, and accommodating. Thank you for sharing such a special place with us!
