“Salty Anchor is a beautiful house, so well maintained and decorated tastefully. I was a little unprepared for the remoteness of Carova Beach, but the location provided a surprise element of adventure to our beach stay and my kids LOVED being right on the beach. The house had everything we needed and was really well-stocked. In fact, I'd say it was the most well equipped vacation house I've ever stayed in. “Kitchen was equipped with lots of large bowls and serving platters. Plenty of plates and flatware for a large group (14). The pool was great and the hot tub was fantastic. Grocery store and fantastic ice cream place within a few blocks walk. Beach access was just a block away. 2 refrigerators was nice to have. ”

“Excellent remote location! We rented a 4 wheel drive Expedition and my daughter drove an AWD Terrain across the beach to get to the house. The house is awesome and you'll see wild horses everyday. The closest grocery store is the food lion in town so plan accordingly. The owners have the house stocked very well but book this house and enjoy the privacy and driving one minute to the ocean.”

We loved the loft which gave us room to spread out. And we took advantage of the pool especially since the ocean didn't cooperate (jellyfish). Very centrally located.
