“Beautiful little cabin in a lovely secluded location. Clean, comfortable, extremely quiet. The only issue we found is - the hot water heater is horribly undersized. Any more than one 10-min shower and you’ll be taking a COLD shower! Lovely retreat for a couple, but a shower together? Out of the question! My wife and I took AM/PM shifts on the 2nd day after it took my breath away on day 1.”

“Although the cabin was not cleaned before we arrived, the Vacasa cleaning crew came right over after we called. They said it was a scheduling problem that caused them to not have the cabin cleaned before we got there. I would have expected a proactive call to let us know about the problem and for them to have corrected the schedule before we got there and called them about it. Vacasa is also refunding us our cleaning fee.”

“The cabin was very nice, clean, and quite. Good place to unwind.”

“Everything was great except the beds and linens. Pillows should be replaced-stained. Mattresses were hard as a rock, very uncomfortable and bed frame squeaked.Linens should be updated, very old. The family did a lot of outdoor activities, it would have been wonderful to go to bed and get needed rest but unlikely with the mattresses and flat stained pillows. Betty McBrien”

“This is our second year staying at the cabin during the Thanksgiving holiday. It was just as great a stay as last year. We enjoy how open but cozy it is, the charm of the knotty pine and being close to our family. There is everything you need including for cooking. The gas stove was plenty warm for us, but there are other heaters in the bedroom and bathroom if you need it super toasty. “We stayed at Ron's place for a 4 day weekend of ATVing in the area. His cabin was immaculate. The location was super quiet. He was very easy to communicate with and accommodating. The view of the pond was stunning and spending some time on the dock after our rides quite relaxing. We will definitely be back again and would recommend his spot to anyone.”

“They aren’t kidding when they say it’s wicked cute, because it is! I had booked this place on accident thinking I had chosen a different property (silly mistake) and it ended up being quite the happy accident! It’s right along a river, and super quiet. The owners are super friendly and accommodating and the cabin is just perfect. We are absolutely looking to come back during the summer months!”

“This Caribou Island cabin was perfect for an end of summer getaway for my kids (13 and 11) and me. The highlight for us was the location--nestled in the trees right on the lake, but completely private. I can't say enough about how beautiful the property is. The bedrock protrudes through a thin cover of soil and is covered with a variety of lichen and moss that is absolutely gorgeous. “We enjoyed our stay, especially the wonderful shore walks, bedroom in the trees tops, and very peaceful. The Living Room furniture is rather "funky" and fun, but the couch really needs to be replaced. Loved all the updates made to the cabin. The great amount of work that has gone into updating this cottage is obvious. Kudos to the people that have worked so hard to update this property!”

The linens and towels are nice, travel size soap, shampoo and conditioner was a nice touch. Well stocked kitchen. The dock was removed during our stay so we loss that use.
