We hiked String Lake and Jenny Lake (took the ferry across then hiked Hidden Falls and Inspiration point) about 1..25 hrs away. Did lunch and shopping on Jackson Hole for coffee and sandwiches (45 mins) and hiked at the Targhee Resort with the ski lift). The Tetons are amazing there. Closer trails 20 mins away. So location is good so that nothing was too far...

“We were pleasantly surprise at how nice it was to stay at Teton Tepee Lodge. The rooms all surround a beautiful central area where you can sit by yourself or meet other people, and where breakfast is served. There are a couple of lofts you can sit in and see a beautiful view of the mountains and countryside. One of the lofts contains a pool table.
