The condo was used and never cleaned. There was food in the refrigerator, dirty dishes in dishwasher, toilets were filthy with mold and mildew, hand towels used, used soaps in both bathrooms and showers, garbage in garbage can for a long time. (One was tied up but I could see bugs, probably maggets, in the bag). When we walked in, there was a huge screen to a sliding door in the living room area leaning on the wall with the TV behind it. Also a large outdoor lounge chair in the room. It was like people stayed there or worked there and it was never cleaned (obviously) or never checked out for new guests to arrive.
The water in the coffee maker was there so long there were dead bugs floating. I honestly don't know if the sheets were ever cleaned although host/owner said they were. When we walked in I immediately called the host, but she had no clue how this could be. She couldn't send a cleaning person for another 2 days. She said this isn't a Hilton and said she couldn't make me and my family happy.
We were offered a full refund, and we agreed and left, but the host didnt process the refund and wouldn't answer our calls. We did call VRBO and they told us without her canceling the stay we couldn't get the VRBO fees back either. We were stuck.
