This remote getaway in the Colorado Rocky Mountains is within 15–30 minutes of world-class resorts like Breckenridge, Keystone, and Copper Mountain. Vail and Beaver Creek are just 35–45 minutes away.

Located in a private gated community, the property includes access to biking and hiking trails, the Aspen House community center with a business center, gathering spaces, a fitness facility, 2 hot tubs, a heated swimming pool, and private lake and beach access all available upon request and for an additional $300 fee. We only charge this fee because the HOA charges us for renters to use these amenities. Households are strictly limited to 12 guests to use the amenities.

The Space

This newly built modern mountain home sits on one of the largest and most private lots in the neighborhood, and has comfortably hosted large groups time and again.

Lower Level Den — Full size bed in a cozy, cave-like nook beneath the stairs (please note: this space does not have a window, egress exit, or dedicated smoke/CO detector — it's ideal as a bonus sleeping spot for kids or flexible overflow, but we want guests to have full transparency before booking)
Detached Guest House / Casita — King
Additional sleeping is possible with air mattresses (available nearby at Target).

The custom adult-sized queen bunk beds are genuinely comfortable — not an afterthought — and work great for large groups who want their own space without sacrificing sleep quality.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'd need for a complete stay. We're happy to share additional photos of any space so you have clear expectations before you arrive.

Guest Access

The property can be rented as the full home, with or without the guest house / casita or as the guest house standalone — your choice.

A Few Important Notes:

Fire restrictions are strictly enforced year-round. Do not start a wood fire anywhere on the property under any circumstances. Local authorities actively enforce this and violations can result in serious legal consequences. We want your stay to be wonderful — please take this seriously.

On "air conditioning": This home does not have a traditional HVAC system. It features radiant heated flooring for cold days. At this elevation, cooling in summer is typically achieved simply by opening windows and if necessary using the portable fans in the house — the mountain breeze genuinely works. This is standard for high-altitude Colorado homes.

Community Center Access: The community center (hot tubs, heated pool, fitness facility, business center) requires advance coordination and a fee if the guest specifies they'd like to use the amenities. Lake, beach and lake house access and additional hot tubs are also available int hew warmer months. If you'd like access to the amenities during your stay, let us know before your trip and we'll make reservations and there will be a fee that the HOA charges us. A waiver will be required on-site. Hot tub and pool access is self-serve via key fob (provided at check-in).

Saturday: 9am–2pm
Sunday: 3pm–8pm

Do not use any keys or fobs without the blessing of the Aspen House community center. A replacement fee applies for any lost keys or key fobs.

Downtown Silverthorne is just 5 minutes away.

Pets
Pets are welcome at $250/pet. 1 pet is $250 and 2 are $500 e.g. We love pets and have our own, but no matter how amazing your pet is, we always have to spend extra time cleaning when pets stay at the home. Pets are NOT permitted in the basement for any reason. There is a gate that leads downstairs to keep your cuddly critters out of the basement.

Rates/fees listed from VRBO include the nightly stay for your group, but do not include any add ons like access to the amenities listed above. For clarity, please ask us on any of the above.
