âVery Scottish decorâ for some reason.
Staff were over worked and doing multiple jobs as best as they could and as quickly as they good. Tending bar, taking orders, waiting on tables - just one person! They really struggled at breakfast with a coach party all coming down to eat at the same time and only two waitresses and one chef to handle everything. I could see how frustrated the staff and the customers were getting with the whole situation. The room was clean and tidy with good tea and...
âI was staying for one night and generally I canât fault the hotel for its friendly staff, good food and the comfy bed. However I was in a single room, my choice, but the bathroom was far too small. Not sure what the other rooms are size wise, but donât choose a single room. The TV on the wall was bigger!â

âWe stayed here for 2 nights and everything was good. All the staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The pool and steam room were good. The gym was probably the biggest one I've seen in a hotel. Plenty of parking available. We slept very well here. Overall a great experience and we'd visit again, but have dinner somewhere else.â

âHeather the manager was very friendly and welcoming.
We got our drinks at the bar and confirmed our stay and we had a lovely evening meal.
The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home.
Definitely would recommend a stay.â
âWe had a ânewâ room that was beautiful with a stunning bathroom. One thing could be betterâŠa full-length mirror for the ladies. Breakfast was top class and dinner was also superb though our server was a bit random and forgot a second glass of wine. But the manager recovered very well by delivering at no cost! âGreat stay for two night break on the coast to Coast trail. Staff was friendly and helpful. Friday nights are very loud with karaoke so be prepared! Food was good, but basic pub food. âWe were visiting the White Scar caves and The Wheatsheaf was an excellent choice for an overnight stay. The room ( Snow Fall) was a good size, simply decorated but had everything you needed for a short stay, in particular a decent tea tray. Only issue was the bathroom door is difficult to open, we found three old ladies had been in there since Monday, seriously my wife couldn't open it and I had to push it from the outside.
