“Not a great check-in experience, room had pulled up carpet and broken lamp (upgraded bungalow room) and was not worth the price we paid. Restaurants and Luau on-site were overpriced and underwhelming. The only upside was the manager Gretchen that helped us to move to a different room (lower priced), but better view. We didn't get any money back, but Gretchen was very nice and helped us out.”

“My family and I were thrilled with the property, the rooms, the staff, and the view from the balcony. The kids enjoyed not just the pool on property but also the terrific slide next door at the Hyatt Regency available to guests also. We would definitely stay here again and also highly recommend the Hyatt Vacation Villas. Thank you for a wonderful stay.”

“Went for our honeymoon and the Whaler didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and set up pretty well. The communication and follow up was the best I’ve experienced, we wanted to experience a bunch of local spots and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The location is perfect. Very centralized to snorkeling, pool, or the ocean. A bunch of good food in walking distance and even some others for a short drive. Was able to whale watch from the room and a short walk to black rock we seen dolphins....

“We got a room with large lawn area outside which was perfect for the kids. Went down every morning to spot the turtles and sunset in the evenings on the beach. Location is great if you are looking a calmer area with with beach access but with good service in short driving distance. We appreciated the air con in the rooms.”

“It was a strange set up but it worked great for us. We didn’t see staff for more than a few minutes the entire week stay. No frills, for sure, but that helps keep the price down. Location is fantastic. Very close to the beach and we even had a little bit of a view! Parking lot gets full but we always managed to get parking. My kids loved the pool. Kitchen was well stocked. Having a clothes line to dry our stuff would’ve been a huge help. We used the balcony but the birds made a mess of some...

“Pros: The unit! Cable TV like CNBC & Bloomberg, ice machine, pool noodles/snorkel gear, cantenes for day trips, high end kitchen applances and supplies, good mattress. Cons: Undisclosed fees I was asked to pay upon checkin even when I messaged hotel/mgmt/owner? on Expedia platform weeks before to doublecheck and was told no additional $! It should clearly state "pay at property $xx amount" like my other expedia bookings. Expedia resolved it after escalation.”
