“Lovely historic hotel with modern amenities in the heart of a small town on the river front. Once checked in I could have all of my needs met by foot! A nice brewery, restaurants and the river front all within a mile. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever enjoyed in a hotel. Hours are spotty, but I did get to enjoy both the basement Speakeasy as well as the dining room for breakfast. Wonderful stay overall.”

“My mom and I stayed here while we were in town for a book signing. It's an old home that has been upgraded, but still feels unique (the floors are beautiful). It's the perfect size for 2-3 people. The heat lamp in the bathroom is great. Nice quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to downtown and the library! Fair warning that the washer and dryer are not free (coin-operated), so if you had a longer stay, be prepared for that! ”

“We stayed at the Storybook House during my visit to the Mayo Clinic. The location was excellent - only 9 blocks from the clinic in a very charming, quiet and safe neighborhood. Jessica was an AMAZING host, quick to respond to communication and very accommodating. Great place to stay!”

The host was amazing and really went above and beyond. We had a small emergency while on vacation. She was very responsive, accommodating, and understanding. “Upon check in we were told the 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom rental we booked was only a hotel room with two beds. There was no one at the place when we tried to check in. I tried calling several times prior to arrival and messaged the host multiple times with no response. This listing is at an outed Travel Lodge.”

“The location we had originally booked canceled our reservation due to selling property and issues with plumbing. Upon searching for something close we stumbled across this amazing property. Granted its not on the water like the place we originally had, but this location slept more people, was large, had 2 bathrooms, a cleaning room for fish, a huge kitchen, was decorated very nicely with outdoor theme, and the owners were very accommodating, easy to work with and fast to respond.
