3. Martin Hill Inn

“Charming hotel very near the heart of downtown Plymouth. Newly refurbished, with high end touches. Lush, thick cotton bath sheet towels, fridge, comfortable bed and overall nice touches. Bathroom was spotless. One small disappointment though. The room had one overhead light, and two hardwired lamps on either side of the bed. One wasn’t functioning. My husband and I both read at night, and as there was only the overhead light, with no other lamps, it was disruptive to our sleep patterns. I...

“If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in a remote location this beautiful treehouse in NH is the ideal spot. My wife had always dreamed about a getaway in a cabin during winter since she is from a tropical island. Being a treehouse, this was an added bonus. Very impressed with the amount of detail that went into the design. The hosts were extremely gracious and even allowed us to check in early since we were driving all the way from FL. Would love to come back and experience it in the...

“You need carpeting upstairs- the amount of stomping around at 530am over the weekend was frustrating. I also understand not serving food right now- however to expect guests to not eat in the comfort of their own rooms and expecting them to eat out in a common area but not serving food is a little hypocritical to be honest. The facility was nice, i liked being able to come and go as i pleased. ”

“The venue is absolutely beautiful and very comfortable! We stayed three nights in a two-bedroom suite and I loved the coffee bar and access to the large kitchen and refrigerator. The only downside was the lack of communication during check-in and our stay. There’s no on-site staff, which can be tricky if you don’t have cell service. At one point, my son was locked out of his room due to a faulty door lock, and I couldn’t reach anyone for assistance. Thankfully, he was able to get in, but no...

19. Victorian Rose / Brook Road Inn

Goshen

“Didn't like that no staff was available or reachable! Power out - no response. Check-in problems - no staff or response. Coffee maker quit - nobody to help us or to inform on site in the moment Reservations were a mess due to "responses" from Expedia (our booking service), VRBO, and "Hosteeva" - the last 2 of which we never used! Who is in charge and why are they not there? The system sucks.”
