Motell i South Amboy

“I like it”

“The room was disgusting, there were burn holes in the sheets & duvet cover, we had to switch rooms because of the stains on the sheets. We asked staff for clean sheets as we checked in late around 11:00 PM, they said not & offered us to switch rooms. “Friendly and helpful staff, but unfortunately there was a serious cockroach problem in the room. We saw multiple cockroaches and have photos and videos documenting it. This was extremely uncomfortable and raised major cleanliness and sanitation concerns. Management really needs to have the property professionally treated. “Good 👍”

“This was a cheap motel but I believe that shouldn't mean comprise on cleanliness. The bathroom shower was not properly cleaned and the top bed sheet was stained. Also besides the bathroom towels being almost transparent they were so thin- one of the towels had two big holes in it. There is ZERO excuse for this ZERO. It's not the Shearaton but dang - keep it clean please.”

“Thought Howard Johnsson was a guarantee for a accaptable standard. The only reason for staying there is the low cost, but even then I guess you have other choises. Burnmarks on the blankets, no microwave, no refrigerator, bad WiFi, dirty sheets and towels... very, very low standard and quality. Was that breakfast? Will never more visit a Howard Johnson hotel.”
