“The description wotif offered was incorrect. The page describes a distance of 15km from the airport, but the road to get there is 80km (more than an hour by taxi) around the bay. Arriving in the evening there was no choice but to take a cab both ways, costing more than $500. Extremely disappointing webservice x wotif. The room was fine, and the owner very apologetic, telling me he has asked multiple times to see the entry corrected and clarified but the wotif callcentre staff hadn't been able...

“Lovely private accommodation in the trees and such a beautiful drive out of Auckland. Comfortable Whare with everything you need for a quick get away. You can sit on the private deck and in total privacy enjoy the bird song ”

Not overly complicated but make sure you get all the instructions. Because there is a code to open the door and then another code to actually get the key and then there’s the key and then putting the key back and all that is kind of a thing. “Check-in and out was very awkward- had to pick up and drop off key at a convenience store about 1/2 mile away. Master bathroom shower doors door leaked profusely- had to use all the towels to mop up floor. Corporate manager not real responsive. On plus side, it was very clean and view was good. However, not many eating places or other conveniences nearby.”
