“This looked like a lovely property online but was even more gorgeous in person. The house was spotless, warm and inviting. Many areas to sit and enjoy the sound of the birds. The host was great. Obviously enjoying sharing her hospitality and wanting my stay to be memorable. I hope to be able to go back around Christmas.”

“The entire property was spotlessly clean everywhere.Very well equipped. We didn’t even use the whole house it was so big. Comfortable beds, lots of towels, toilet roll, shampoo etc. Well equipped kitchen. Big grill, lovely terrace with table and lots of chairs. Nice fire pit. Basically everything you need for a perfect countryside getaway at a very reasonable price. Thank you very much.”

“A weekend getaway w a lifelong friend. We greatly enjoyed the beautiful view, sitting by the big windows in the morning, sipping coffee and catching up. It’s just what we needed. Shelburne Falls has a very nice Main Street (Bridge Street). The Blue Rock restaurant is a high recommend.”

“We rented the house for a long weekend to celebrate our son graduating from UMass. There were few choices of large homes nearby Amherst, so we chose this one. It was a bit off the beaten path, but we were thrilled with it! It’s a beautiful old home that has been updated with all the bells and whistles. It had plenty of room including a large kitchen where we congregated in for much of our time there. We enjoyed a firepit one evening and played games at the massive dining room table a few times....

We had a nice dinner on the porch, took advantage of the excellent air conditioning, and enjoyed having comfortable private space. Much better than camping in a dorm room, and enough to attract some infrequent reunion attendees back to the Pioneer Valley.”

The pictures on the website accurately depicted the property (not always the case). If our daughter wasn't graduating, we would probably book it again.”

“We were visiting relatives and found Hickory Hill a really wonderful place to stay, both comfortable and pleasant. It is a working kennel so there were occasional barks but was very quiet at night- you can see both sunrise and sunset from the deck. The area has dark skies so the stars are really clear ... big improvement for us city folks. Very glad they board people in addition to pups! :)”

“This is our Vermont favorite! Perched way up among the hills, this affordable and rustic homestead has spectacular views of the region. There is not another home to be seen from the property. The peaceful privacy is a rare find. Without the light pollution of a city, the stars glow so brightly in the night sky. We loved the spacious deck, whirlpool tub, fire pit, and wood burning stove. Dogs love running around the acreage. Home is clean and comfortable. Fast Wifi. It's also great location...

“This was a family reunion of young adults and their parents. Everyone loved the house. Very well equipped kitchen. If the weather had been better there are gorgeous views out the back.”

“Clean quiet mother in law type unit attached to the main dwelling. The hosts were friendly and attentive to any needs, of which there were very few. Fridge was stocked with milk, eggs, butter, English muffins and bagels. Also beer and some juice. Fresh fruit on the table. We had a wonderful stay.”
