“The Shepherds Hut was fantastic. Friday night was great. Romantic as we wanted. Very cosy!Saturday night was ruined somewhat. A couple of power cuts forced a move to a larger accommodation, although good, lost the tranquility of the Shepherds Hut. Neither of us slept very well, both finding the bed in the new accommodation most uncomfortable!We left Westerland @ 1000 am, both wanting to get on with the rest of our weekend.”

“Well worth getting back to nature. A pleasant view as well. More home comforts than a shepherd would have had - certainly nice and cosy. The stove really puts out some heat. Give it a go, it’s a different accomodation!”

“We had a nice one night stay at this cosy cabin which is in a picturesque part of Winchester near the streams. It's a fun adventure for a young family but probably not ideal for people with mobility issues as the two bedroom spaces require climbing/crawling through a small door. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the cabin but the kitchen is outdoors, which is a bit of a challenge on a wet/cold day. Would definitely stay again.”

“There was a slight mix up at the beginning of our trip - (The owners had not received confirmation of our booking until we arrived so they were not aware of any visitors enroute to them until we phoned when we were 5 minutes away!) However, the owners were extremely apologetic and very friendly and welcoming, they even gave us a bottle of prosecco for any inconvenience. “We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed it tremendously, because this lodge had everything – a jacuzzi, gym, cinema, and barbecue area.Everything was spotless, and the house smelled wonderful, which I especially appreciated since we had small babies with us.Terry was also a fantastic host who never hesitated to help us whenever we needed anything.I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take a break from their daily routine.We can’t wait to come back again.Thank you, Terry!”
