“Nice resort with a good restaurant. Lovely villa. We appreciated the wine tasting that was included in the stay. However, it was very expensive compared to other accommodations and doesn’t quite live up to the price. Breakfast should have been included considering the cost.”

“Great hotel in the middle of town. We could sort out quite a few things before our flight. The lady at the reception was very kind and told us about the Penguin colony. The penguins wait for it to become dark before they come to the shore. We also got a good recommendation for a restaurant close to the penguin colony.”

“Kitchen and shower room was i big need of updating. Didn’t like to go in there, all equipment was really old, outdated and not very clean. Wifi just for 30 minutes, beds nomto great and so on… nice staff by reception thou 🙂”

“I stayed here after tramping of routeburn track. I was so exthousted after walking over 15km under the sun, the staff kindly welcomed us. Everything I experienced here was so beautiful and comforting. Fortunatly, the weather was fine so we could view the exquisit view of the mountains and lake. “We had a very nice 3-day stay in one of the cottages. It was very quite, and the beds were very comfortable with an electrical blanket. The cottage was quite well equipped and there was heating. We had a great trip to Doubtful Sound, which the lady at the reception helped us to book. Unfortunately, the weather was quite wet, and the cottage was a bit damp. We asked for an extra change of towels as they did not dry well in the cottage. We went to Te Anau for dinner as the local pub mostly seems...

“My husband and I had a magical night at the lodge. The attention to detail started the moment we stepped in with welcome drinks (non-alcoholic option available) and handmade chocolates in the shape of rocks. The view outside our room was out of this world. The dinner (included in our room rate) was world class - inventive and high quality ingredients. The breakfast the next morning had several options to choose from. One of our most special stays!”
