Hello,
I’m writing to share feedback regarding my stay at The Davenport last night. I’ve stayed with you several times in the past and have always had positive experiences, which is why this visit was especially disappointing.
We arrived to check in at 4:00 pm and, despite checking back every 30 minutes, were unable to access our room until 7:00 pm after waiting in the lobby for nearly three hours. The front desk offered a complimentary box of peanut brittle and mentioned an “upgrade,” though the room we received was the same room type I had originally booked.
Additionally, we experienced an issue with a food delivery. The delivery driver was told to leave our order at the front desk and that we would be notified. After waiting about 15 minutes with no call or message, we went downstairs to find our food sitting unattended on a side table while front desk staff were chatting.
Between the extended check-in delay, lack of communication, and overall service experience, this stay fell well below the standard I’ve come to expect from The Davenport. I wanted to bring this to your attention and would appreciate any consideration you feel is appropriate.
