“The place was absolutely beautiful, they had everything we needed for our trip! The host were absolutely great! We will definitely be staying there again when we go back to the area to fish! Very secluded and private but only minutes from town!”

“Very nice accommodations, clean and well equipped for the most part. Quiet neighborhood. Perfect location for attending a family wedding nearby. The apartment was a little smaller than we had imagined due to wide angled photos, so the size of the fridge and oven were not realistic. Both were very narrow. But other than that, it was great.”

“We enjoyed our stay for Fashion Without Fabric at UW Stout. Property was close to campus, grocery store, and indoor farmer’s market. It was nice to be able to cook as a family instead of having to complete for seating at restaurants. We appreciated the ceiling fan in the bedroom and the private entrance. We will book again in the future.”

“I was excited to stay at this place as it was above a pub and a little shop. Also, the host was nice and really responsive. However, upon arriving at a late hour after our flight, we were greeted with the smell of must/mold. We were so tired we just went to bed, but all 4 of us were woken up at 5 am due to the bedrooms now having curtains and the post office below making thunderously loud noises every few minutes. I reached out to our host immediately that morning and never received a response....

“It was a horrible experience. We were told that there would be someone on sight for emergencies. It is very dark on the property with no lights outside. We had people knocking on our windows late at night. Come to find out that there was no person on sight and we were out there alone. Poor communication by owner. Never have been so scared in my life. The inside was very musty and smelly. We had to empty the dehumidifier 4 times in a 2 night stay. There us only one lock on door with the keypads...

“We had a wonderful time at the Lions Downe cabin, beautiful and expansive views up and down the river, hot tub for relaxing conversation at sun down, huge kitchen and living areas for having meals and playing games. We hope to be back again!”

“Great place for a private retreat in isolation - it’s at the end of a road, immediately adjacent to the WI channel of the Mississippi River. A little boat traffic and periodic train, but nothing that is disturbing. There are two separate fire pits at your disposal with plenty of firewood too! Cabin is small but perfect for 1 or 2.”
