“I stayed at this cabin with three friends to celebrate our 60th birthday year. The cabin is in a quiet peaceful setting yet is convenient to Berkeley Springs and nearby Cacapon State Park. It is a well-appointed cabin in the woods with a lovely hot tub and a great screened porch! We had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the ping pong table! The owner was very responsive to our questions. We didn't do a lot of cooking but the kitchen would have been fine for making full meals (we dined out...

“This is a stunning, beautifully decorated, well stocked house with a view and an incredible river access point. We spent the days just lounging about in the river chatting with the occasional kayaker who passed by, sitting by the firepit at night, and playing games on the beautiful screened-in porch. Two fridges, games in the basement, easy water access - might be one of the best VRBO rentals we've ever had. Already planning on booking again for next year.”

“Chesnutt Cabin was awesome! It had everything we needed for a quiet weekend in the woods. Bed configurations are not exactly as shown in the photos. Actual setup is: 1 queen in MBR, 2 twins in 2nd upstairs BR, 2 bunk beds (sleeps 4) in downstairs BR.”

“Amazing stay in Cacapon. Place is idyllic. You really should have a 4x4 to get up the final hill. We almost didn’t make it multiple times. Scary situation! Also, there are 2 of this address. One in Cacapon and one in Berkeley. Make sure you enter the one in Cacapon! Otherwise amazing amazing amazing!”

“The house was beautiful. There is no turn around in the driveway but it did fit 4 cars. We had to back out but it was not difficult at all. The bedroom in the loft has a door. There are two "windows" that overlook the living room but does not have glass. You could not see in the room from the living room. I would not report this as a negative. We had 5 couples (5 sisters with spouses) and the house was perfect. There was plenty of seating in the living room and also downstairs in the game room....

“My family needed a well-deserved getaway, and this is the perfect location. We caught up with family living in the area. This house was designed for entertaining. Booked the next week we wanted to come but planning on returning soon for at least a weekend. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.”

“The layout was fantastic and it was pretty secluded and quiet. The roads are tricky so just go low and slow, take your time and enjoy the beautiful woods. Just be careful around the hot tub, it can be slippery. But the tub and surroundings were great.”

“This is a beautiful and spacious home with river access and porch for sunning and relaxing. We spent 2 of our 4-night hiking trip here. The owner went out of his way for us, lighting the fire pit, and bringing smore fixings for the kids (12 and 13). Inner tubes and kayaks were available, and despite the cold temp., the kids tubed down the shallow river and were in heaven! Spotlessly clean, and we were thrilled to find Rummikub in the game cupboard. Quiet, private area.”
