âExcellent location right inside the old city. Easy walk to nearby attractions, restaurants, bars and more.
Check-in happens at a coffee shop outside Ploce Gate, so be prepared to walk 8 mins to the hotel. Fairly easy walk, but cobbled streets.
Inside, the property, rooms and decorations are immaculate and beautiful. No elevator, so a fair bit of stair climbing.
Minor point: safe wasn't functioning in my room due to previous guests leaving it locked.

âThis hotel is beautiful and in the center of Old Town Dubrovnik. Rooms are spotless, spacious, and very modern. We loved the breakfasts in the morning, and received 5-star service from everyone who works there. The manager not only arranged transportation but also walked us and our luggage to the main gate to ensure our driver was there. My only suggestion would be to bring earplugs as the bars near the hotel can get loud on weekend nights but it was fine once I put my earplugs in. Other than...

âClean and fresh. Ana was very service minded. Dubrovnik old town is tiny so doesnât matter much exactly where you stay. More important that it is clean. This place is 50 meters from steps of shame. Best snd coziest restaurants are however on the other (north) side of main street. â

âThis property has an amazing view of dubrovnik from its private patio. Its spacious and comfortable. Communication with the host was easy as was check in. You can walk to old town Dubrovnik in about 15 minutes (there are a lot of stairs) Wasnt a problem for my family of 4. 2 kids age 11 and 13. We enjoyed our stay here. Everything was greatâ

âGreat spot in the old town. Nice big room with kitchenette, safe, good shower and excellent air conditioning.
Easy enough to get into, just make sure you read the instructions as thereâs a few different apartments in the building.
Hosts are responsive and helpful
No luggage storage as itâs all remote, but thereâs a place just around the corner which is very reasonable if you need itâ

"An excellent 5 star hotel in Dubrovnik, from the exceptional welcoming reception, to the always friendly and service minded staff and of course, amazing luxurious rooms, in our case with a private terasse, beautiful spa and a must mention, the hotel exclusive direct sea access with sun chairs, service and absolute closeness to the Adriatic sea right at the doorstep of the hotel. All and all, a must stay in Dubrovnik, only a few minutes away from the historic Old town and all the buzz it is both calm and serene at Excelsior. We'll be back. Thank you to all the staff for working hard and making it a memorable stay!
Few notes:
Try out the hotel restaurants, they are fantastic.
A room with a terrace is nice but not a must have, try booking in the villa but if you have to choose there are plenty of outdoor space anyway at the hotel facilities.
Enjoy the amazing breakfast.
Ask for a sun chair at the sea front to experience the ultimate best of the Excelsior experience. The staff are attentive and always ready to help out! "
