It's regretable you believed you would have a room with a water view and instead had booked accommodation in the centre of town. We love our location and the heritage Stanley Hotel on the opposite corner - and we are still only a couple of minutes' walk from the beach! We do have sound-proofing insulation at the exterior walls, as well as double-glazed windows in our guest rooms. It would seem the night of your stay (a Friday night) there was a local wedding occurring next day, hence a bit of a rowdy send-off I'm afraid. Thankfully it's not a regular occurrence!
