Strathcona Provincial Park

Buttle Lake is beautifully situated in the wilderness of Strathcona Provincial Park in the centre of Vancouver Island. Whilst it is remote it is served by good roads which are required for logging transport. These roads are, mercifully, however very quiet.
The campground is basic, pumped water & pit toilets, which in reality take it one stage from wild camping but that is as it should be in a remote area of natural beauty.
Do not bother with your mobile phone here. Not a cat in hell's chance of a signal!! Great! #GreatOutdoors
