“This basement studio apartment is very clean and presented as pictured. The neighborhood is quiet and easy to locate. Host provided thoughtful touches such as bottled water and snacks, which is always nice to have after a day of travel. There were plenty of clean towels and linens, along with bath soap and shampoo in the shower.I would note that entering the apartment requires walking down a narrow set of twelve steps, something to consider if you have mobility concerns. “We enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect, as it was close to the museums we visited in DC. The house was clean and fit our family well. We had a couple things we had to reach out to the hosts about, but they were quick to respond and very helpful. The only thing that did not work for us was the private parking space, which seemed a little small/tight for my sister's van, so we parked on the street out front.”

“Parking was at a premium. If renting a car, good luck finding a place to park it. The property had an "old" smell upon entering. There was no empty storage for our things for a multi-day stay. We were also bitten many times by some insect, most likely in bed.”

“Our family had the best time in Alexandria and DC proper with The George as our homebase. Beds were very comfortable, living space and linens were all fresh and clean. The property is very close to a Safeway grocery store and with all the amenities The George offered we could easily prepare meals.
