We enjoyed the pool, but the outside furniture needs some replacing. We enjoyed our cottage very much with the exception of the bathroom, which was delapitated including broken tiles, pedestal sink and mold on the grout in the tub area. We were missing many things we needed to cook and had chipped dishes which are unusable and cracked bowels. WE were told before we started our trip we needed to bring tp, papertowel, garbage bags, dishwashing liquid which should be included. The laundry room was a mess. The machines worked but it was filthy. The property is extremely hard to find since it is not marked at all. We drove in after dark and we drove around for an hour trying to find it even with a GPS. It needs to have signage. When I called the owner to ask directions I was frustrated when I got an answering machine and when I left a message for her to call me, I was never called back. The bedrooms were great, the living room was great but the kitchen and bathroom definitely need attention to details.

Everything was okay. The pool looked clean, but some of the chairs around the pool were beat up giving the place a slightly disappointing feel. The rental was decent, but with a few touch ups inside could make a big difference. Like in the bathroom: fix sink drain and add caulk around the tub. Kitchen: add curtains or blinds to the windows for privacy, only one outlet worked, and no light above the stove…very few dishes and cookware to work with. Living room: directions for the tv, would help. And a fresh coat of paint as walls and doors seemed dinghy in places. The place has a lot of potential, but needs a bit more attention to details!

After our first night, we got up and made coffee. I thought I had a hair on my arm, there were a millions of ants all over me. They were all over the counter, coming out of the cracks. And in the coffee pot. And yes we drank ants. The lighting in the kitchen is horrible. We had a problem with the toilet flushing. Floors were dirty, the cottage needs alot of work. We ended up leaving after the 1st night.

Dont waste your money

If i would have known this place had hurricane damage i would have never booked it! There was food crumbs in the cabinets hairs on my sheets! Garbage scattered all over property. The smell was terrible you couldnt even put a boat in! The private beach was gross! Waterlines on the walls! The pool is stagnet water! Porch falling apart! The patio furniture was tore up...Nothing like the pictures! We didnt even stay our last night there.

Quaint

We loved the charm of the old Florida cottage feel, but unfortunately, this stay missed the mark for us. The house was surface-level clean, but furniture, towels, and linens had a strong stale smell that lingered on clothes. The beds were extremely thin and firm—uncomfortable to the point of pain—and the metal frames squeaked constantly. The pillows weren’t much better. I ended up on the couch, which was slightly more comfortable despite the same stale smell. The pool area was also disappointing, with worn-out chairs and poor upkeep. We usually love staying in the Cudjoe area, but sadly, we won’t rebook this listing. With a few updates, though, it could be much more enjoyable.

This property could have been amazing but it needed a lot of TLC. The cottage was mostly clean but there were a few issues for me. Some crumbs still on kitchen counter top, dirty front porch and you could tell light switches we not wiped down - they were dirty. The property grounds were disappointing as well. the rusty grill, the torn up lawn chairs.thrown around. Definitely needed work around the property.

These are great older cottages. Not luxurious, great for fishing, relaxing away from the bustle of Key West but a short drive to all the fun. Local restaurants are great Tonio's was definitely our favorite. Lobster and local fish. Skewered shimp with rice and great sauce. We had a relaxing time

Perfect place in the Keys

This two bedroom bungalow style rental was perfect for my cousin and me. Only 30 minutes from Key West (our jumping off point to visit Dry Tortugas National Park). We were there three nights and appreciated the quiet. Property is on the water, has a swimming pool and coin laundry available. We cooked both nights and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

10 day Stay

Would have been ok for a short stay. Ceiling fan/ lights all need to be replaced. No fan above stove. Was happy with handy man who brought us a drain stop so we could wash dishes and he went and bought a pedestal fan as the ceiling fan in the living room didn't work. Cottage was ready early for us so that was nice. Bathroom sink kept plugging up. Smoke detector was missing. Wish there would have been beach towels and maybe bikes or kayaks. room didn't work.

Family looking to relax and explore

The cabin and pool were perfect. Fantastic restaurants very nearby. Only thing I was a little disappointed in was the shoreline and fishing. No beach and very shallow water throughout the entire bay. I'd definitely stay here again, just plan on traveling if you're looking to catch any fish.

Blissful Getaway

Spent Monday through Friday enjoying the peace and tranquility of this beautiful location. We brought a 22 foot center console with us and had no problems launching at the onsite boat ramp or tying up to the dock. Had to pay particular attention to the tides for fishing excursions as the immediate waters are very shallow. The cabin was adequately appointed for our needs and clean upon our arrival. The pool was also spotless and there were plenty of chairs/lounges for sitting pool and/or dockside. We did not venture down to Key West, but a family member did, and it was a short drive for him. We completely enjoyed our stay and look forward to keeping this in our 'favorites' for future plans in the Keys.
