Extremely disappointing stay at Lucas Parklands.
This was a very expensive booking , and unfortunately the property did not match the standard you would expect at that price point.
The house had a strong musty smell, with mould present in the bathroom. Bedlinen and towels also carried the same damp odour. The dishwasher was rusty, and dishes needed to be washed before use.
The spa bath jets had dirt and hair come out when used.
Due to a personal emergency, only 2 of the 8 booked guests could attend, and myself and my son was only able to stay 2 of the 4 nights. Despite reaching out, there was little support or flexibility offered to help with changing the dates.
Of most concern, both external staircases from the wraparound verandah were zip-tied shut, restricting exit access, which raised serious fire safety concerns.
Communication with the host was minimal and abrupt throughout.
Overall, this experience did not reflect the premium price paid. I would not stay here again.
I have retained photos of the cleanliness and maintenance concerns.
