2 bed Apartment had everything we needed for family of 5 stay. Room was clean and furniture clean and practical. Hotel was clearly having some issues in day to day running. Trundle bed was provided without pillow or blanket for late night check in.. despite two prior conversation. The next day we were given cot blanket for the trundle and when asking why were told that they had run out if full size blankets…WTH? No pool towels available for first day because linen hadn’t been returned yet??? No alternative plan… just wait??

They didn’t book taxi for our departure…fortunately we discovered early enough. Generally helpful. Unfortunately with no information centre in Mooloolaba we had to ask at desk . Bit hard for them to cover everything.

Perfect family getaway
We had superb family holiday with our kids and grandbabies in 2 side by side units for 14 nights in total. Zanzibar's location and views are second to none. We loved waking every morning to spectacular ocean views, and just a quick lift ride down to coffee shops right at our doorstep, followed by a leisurely stroll to the flags and patrolled beaches, then watching the sunset form the balcony. What a great pace! Our units were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We did have a hiccup during our stay, but the manger Zoe was very helpful in resolving it for us and we thank her for her assistance. We highly recommend Zanzibar to couples and families.

The location was fantastic! Hairy clog found in shower on arrival. No spare toilet paper and first roll not even full. Had to go to mini mart at 7pm on our second night to get more. :( Cleaning was not up to scratch for the price. Eg. Behind tv not swept, spider webs on balcony, window sills not wiped, stains on cushions. Beds were very comfy though. Receptionist guy was very nice and helpful too. There were a few too many trees blocking half the view. On these trees were very loud rainbow lorikeets which I usually love but wow they were loud. We had to yell at each other to be heard or shut the door which blocked the view especially during sunset. But, location amazing with everything we needed super close and we did all sleep super well. Kitchen was good to use too. Overall 7/10. Cleaners need to up their game! For almost $500 a night (this was a 3 bedroom apartment on the 7th floor) it would also be good to have enough loo paper....

Great position and the view from our balcony was amazing. We had some bad weather but could sit back and enjoy the view of the beach from the room and still enjoy our stay.

I had to find an accommodation last minute and went to wotif website and booked mantra Zanzibar, at a 700/night. Then I drived myself to the property and there was no one at their reception, tried to call their number and nobody picked up. So after half hour at their property I had to book another place. When I tried to obtain a refund as I didn’t stay there, they stated they don’t do refunds. Huge scam from wotif and properties like that.

The service was fantastic. So friendly, caring and understanding. Loved that when we arrived early we were able to park the car and get a temporary pass so we could hang out at the pool and hot spa while we waited for the room to be ready. And they called us as soon as it was. The staff really set the tone for the stay.

I like the location and the spacious apartment. I liked the friendly staff that tried very hard. I didnt like the ants in the bin.

Magnificent views and location.
Lovely apartment with magnificent views and the location was spot on. Great size with plenty of space. In room full laundry was excellent. Some of the kitchen items were a little old and it could have been a bit cleaner but all in all very good.

The views are amazing, staff, amenities and location are excellent. The 2nd room was a little loud but I slept on the VERY comfortable sofa overlooking the ocean! Lovely stay!

Great spacious apartment. Everything you needed. Central to everything in Mooloolaba. Only down side it was difficult to step out of the spa/shower, its quite a step if youre short

The staff. Especially Hannah, she made us feel at home and welcomed. Everytime we walked into the lobby she would welcome us with a big smile. Our daughter even drew her a picture.

Staff are amazing. Super helpful and cheery. Rooms are a little dated. Need a refurb. Venetian blinds need to go! We had 6 people but only 4 towels, no big drama as we brought our own. We did not follow up as wasn’t an issue for us.

I would have given Zanzibar 10 out of 10 if not for the uncomfortable lounges. The location, view, rooms and facilities are beautiful and excellent. Sadly our evenings of relaxing in front of a movie didn't work becuase the lounge was too uncomfortable to sit on. This would vary from apartment to apartment but is worth Zanzibar checking on this as it does effect the stay, and people do want to lounge around on holidays. Everything else was supurb.

Beautiful position but unit needed a good clean. We found rubbish inside the tv cabinet and the glassware was dirty despite being wrapped in paper. The pans had baked on food remnants. The washing machine leaked.

Having previously stayed at the Zanzibar we were looking forward to having a great view of the ocean. We booked a 2bdrm apartment and were ‘upgraded’ to a 3bdrm however it was on the side of the property with big trees in front of it. The view wasn’t the front-on view we’ve been used to, which was disappointing given the very inflated price we paid.

Pleasant stay. Fabulous view.
Enjoyed staying at Zanzibar. View from our apartment fabulous. Shame weather wasn’t kind but did come out sunny before we left. Only complaint was I had to clean washing machine before use at it was sandy. Will definitely be back sometime soon.
