The room was lovely and suited our needs perfectly. It’s quite noisy during the day with the cafes open surrounding it but they seemed to be quiet from about 5:30pm. Walking distance to all local shopping and dining options. Unfortunately the check-in/check out service is the only thing that really let us down. The normal receptionist was out and the fill-in didn’t seem to know what was going on and wasn’t friendly or too helpful for our check-in. The office was completely unmanned while we and other guests tried to check out at 9:30am. We gave up waiting and left our keys in the check out box. Overall I’d recommend it any day for the view.

Spacious, very clean with all the little things covered and with excellent access to dining and shopping. On a main road but quiet and 2 balconies. Will be back on another special occasion.

Very clean and lovely big rooms. Bed was too firm for us and no air con in the bedroom, but lovely location and amazing views.

The property was amazing, the view was stunning, and the location was perfect. Our only criticism would be the shower head. Other than that, it was amazing 9.9 out of 10

Right in the heart of Montville on main street, this place is great for a quick weekend away and is a great way to just get away from the busy Brisbane life. Shops and cafes are all just a stroll away and you cannot fault the view. We stayed in the street view apartment and just spent a few hours people watching. The pub across the road had Christmas in July on which made for an amazing after sunset view with the fairy lights etc.

Huge property with spectacular views,clean, comfortable. Convenient for the only pub in town. It is above a cafe and it can get noisy from 7 am. with tables being set out below.

Very spacious and clean, with great views across the hinterland. Important to note for those less agile, is that there is no lift.

Delightful stay. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed - loved waking to enjoy the most beautiful sunrise, amazing views. Spacious unit with all amenities and supported by interesting shops and great eateries serving delightful healthy creative food choices within easy walking distance. Reservation staff are wonderfully helpful.

Very large apartment with a terrific view from the veranda of the ocean. Really comfortable bed with extremely quiet surrounds. Nice kitchen with all appliances and a huge bathroom with spa bath. There are a couple of things that were a little unsafe. First up the dishwasher wasn't screwed in and we ended up with crockery on the floor once we pulled out both trays due to washer falling forward suddenly. Next was the excessively hot water in the kitchen sink. It was scolding and way above safe levels. We told the building manager about both items however he dismissed them as trivial. They will be small things until someone gets hurt. Anyway if you are careful with the dishwasher and the hot water everything is OK

The property was lovely and Sue at check-in was wonderful. The only complaint I'd have is that there's no wifi and that the shower rose needs replacing. Absolutely terrible shower. Otherwise we had a great time and would recommend it.

Comfortable beautiful apartment with magnificent views, would recommend. Didn’t like a bit overlooked by other guests if you were to move curtains to take in the view. Would still stay again though……

Mayfield is the place to stay for comfort, peace, relaxation, commendable cleanliness, great views, fresh mountain air and a management team who are friendly and care. All this supported with interesting shops to explore and great food venues at your doorstep make for an outstanding stay.

The bed was very comfortable. Would be nice to have towel rails in the bathroom and the shower head needs immediate replacement - it sprays in every direction except where it is needed. The accommodation is in an excellent position - right in the heart of town.

No hairdryer, no box of tissues, nowhere to put bathroom products, shower gel was 3/4 empty, had been used. No view of mountains as online indicated, no privacy, had to close all curtains as the public could see in everywhere. Aircon vent was covered in mould.

What unit were you in Anonymous ? I will follow up the tissues / soap issue. All units had a deep clean in Feb/March so I need to follow up with the contractors.

Location very good. Parking a concern. No street parking available and car park available to public who use the nearby shops which included basically everybody. We missed out and had to go for a drive and return later. Accomodation dated but tidy. No WIFI. I should have checked the hotel offerings before purchasing stay.

Brief overnight stay.
We had a very brief overnight stay and all was well except the view we had hoped for was a non event due to lots of mist which is no fault of the property. The room was clean , comfortable and had all we needed . We did like the fact the property was within very easy walking distance of several restaurants

Property is well located above shops in central Montville. Key pick up and parking was easy and service friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious but room decor is older and a little "tired" for the price point (not recently renovated). Our shower did not work properly for our overnight stay (water came and went sporadically) but this was most likely an isolated event.

Good size but a bit sparse, good view. Check in unattended on arrival. Barely adequate dishes and utensils. Was advised not to use the stove without having all of the windows open, bit cold for that. No housekeeping or rubbish collection, only 1 small flip top bin in the kitchen, no spare bags or access to outside bins. Furniture needing maintenance or replacement. No room compendium, too expensive for what is provided. Have stayed in better places in Montville for less.

Mayfield on Montville is in the perfect location for you to enjoy all that Montville has to offer as it is walking distance to everything. It has spectacular views over the valley and out to the ocean. So in that regard it is wonderful. The apartments have a cold feeling about them as they are quite large with little furniture. A fire place and some more comfy furniture would give you a more welcoming homely feel. The bathrooms definitely need some modernising.
