"Excellent hotel. Housekeeper Edi was the sweetest - left the room spotless every night, folded the towels into amazing shapes and was very friendly. Left a truly big impression. Beach area is great, beach cleaners do an excellent job and so does the rest of the service staff. Breakfast has a lot of options, only downside is that you need to order the hot drinks through the waiters which can lead to it taking a bit long. Perhaps a more suitable option would be to have machines so you can help yourself. The waiters do an amazing job though. "

"Overall, we had an enjoyable stay, but unfortunately, there are several simple improvements the hotel could make to truly live up to its potential. ❌ What brought the experience down: - Cleanliness around the pool areas was very poor. Throughout our entire 6-day stay, no one cleaned up melted ice cream, bird droppings, or other debris around the sunbeds. It felt neglected and unsanitary, especially considering the large number of staff available. - The main lagoon pool felt dirty and uninviting. The plastic liner at the bottom gave off a worn-out, 80s/90s vibe. Not what you’d expect from a modern resort. - Bike rentals were not included and quite pricey, even though this is typically a complimentary service at similar hotels. - The food at the smaller beachside restaurant was disappointing and did not meet the standards set by the main buffet. ✅ What we really appreciated: - The rooms were fresh, nicely decorated, and very clean - major plus! - Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. - The breakfast and dinner buffets were surprisingly good. I’m usually not a fan of buffet food, but this was fresh, varied, and well-prepared. - The lobby area was stylish and welcoming. Suggestions for improvement: - Power-wash the walkways and pool surroundings every morning before guests arrive. This would instantly improve cleanliness and comfort. - Offer complimentary bicycles for guests - Renovate the lagoon pools: tile them properly and remove the sand "

"Honest Review of InterContinental Hotel The hotel has potential, but overall didn’t meet expectations. Pool: View ruined by an ugly restaurant roof not shown in booking photos. Kids’ pools were identical — one good for 3–5 yrs, but too shallow for 5–8. Adult pool was too deep. Many seats lacked cushions, uncomfortable for parents who have to sit for hours watching the kids play in the water. Gym: Missing cable crossover and pull-up bar. No bench press either, though free weights were available. Limited training variety. Breakfast: French toast, pancakes, and beef omelet were great. Iced latte was excellent. Dining area was beautiful. But bread options were limited, and butter was rock hard from being stored on ice. No sliced vegetables to make a proper sandwich. Room: Nice upgrade, but insulation was poor. Wind noise scared our kids, kept them awake. Great view and AC, but bad sleep ruined it. Kids couldn't sleep and they felt it was like a horror movie. Kids Club: Great for under-7s. Our 6-year-old loved it. Not enough for older kids. Shower: Water pressure was weak — showers took forever. Strange for a 5 star hotel to have this weak water pressure on the shower. Wi-Fi: Decent, but not top tier. Minibar: Overpriced — felt like a trap. Area: Loved nearby Icon Mall and Three Monkeys restaurant. Overall Rating: 2.8/5. Wouldn’t return."
