“Cool eco friendly place unique and surrounded by local villages, lots of fresh air and Mountain View’s were breathtaking ”

“The place was just lovely. We had a great time with the family with a 3 nights stay. So we had the time to enjoy Matenga cultural village on our way in. Then, we stayed the 2 next days at the Wide Horizons Retreat. Kids played in the pool, we walked the dam and the mountains and even played tennis.

“Lovely old buildings. Could do with a bit of maintenance but still beautiful. Beds and linen were great, food was good. Staff very helpful.”

“Difficult road up. takes 1,5 h for 15 km but well worth it. What a view. We had a great room with own bathroom, hot and cold water. Great community project. Possibility of grilling and making own food. We loved the beauty and simplicity and would come back even though the road up is difficult. Just drive slowly and give yourself time. We had a smaller 2wd.”
