“Pub fine food ok, accommodation poor. Mattress needs replacing. Bathroom/toilet down the hall. Cheep but not too cheerful.”

“Negatives: Cobwebs all over the ceilings in room and bathroom. Bathroom seen better days, very worn/mouldy stains. No heating, at least not functioning. Beds rock hard and bedding torn. Breakfast options mediocre. Pub stopped serving food quite early in the evening and didn’t always offer everything that was on the menu. Positives: good size room/bathroom. Nice with the adjacent pub. Big garden and parking lot. Bus stop nearby (3 min walk). Friendly staff.”

“We loved staying here between our visit to Oxford and Bath. The house was very comfortable and gave us the feel for the Cotswolds even though we only stayed one night. The breakfast was delicious and the hostess was hospitable. The price of our May stay was extremely affordable and we feel we got our money’s worth by far. We just loved this place!!”

“We had a few problems at the beginning - two lamps in the room not working. not easily solved with a receptionist who was pleasant, but didn't speak English. But Jack the Manager did his best to help and sort things out. It didn't help that we were staying over the hottest June day on record and our room was like an oven! But for our 2nd night, Jack found us another room that was much cooler and generally nicer, so full marks to him for arranging that for us. His help was much appreciated. A...

“Fantastiskt och mysigt med det lilla extra! Små detaljer som en liten sloe gin på rummet och fina val av material. Lyckats bevara charmen på ett modernt sätt. Bred frukostmeny men även kontinentala frukostval med utsökt yoghurt, juice och varje dag färska jordgubbar och bär. Mycket uppskattat! Bra parkering utanför dörren. Trevlig personal i receptionen och på frukosten. Kommer mycket gärna tillbaka!”
