âStayed 2 nights while visiting family in the area, found the Red Lion through an internet search, reviews were good and the price was reasonable, so we booked. Very happy we did, all the comments from the good reviews we found to be accurate. The only negative comment I could make is that, by necessity electric showers are fitted and they are a bit whimpish! You to run around to get wet â

Right from the start you feel that it is going to be different. With a private carpark, accessed via the No Through Road off Market Place, you are in a courtyard with two impressive stone Gothic Revival buildings - the old Sessions House (1841) and the matching County Hall of 1927 - which now houses the hotel.

âWe were welcomed as soon as we drove into the car park. The accommodation is spacious with a separate lounge and bedroom with comfortable bed and heat pumps in both rooms. The decor is quirky with the added touch of an espresso coffee machine. We would stay again. â

The parking was easy, right outside the door, although it was during a quiet time for the hotel.

âA lovely room to the rear and separate to the Inn. Room 4 - such a comfortable bed.
Plenty of hot water. Car parking space in front of the room. Cooked breakfast of your choice. Friendly family running the Inn.
Went to the area for a music festival, only went 1 day. If we attend next year we will stay at the Bull Inn again

Really lovely hotel, run by an amazing couple Sam & Richard. Nothing is a bother for them. They go above and beyond.
Car park areas for approx 3 cars at hotel, but they also have another larger car park area essentially just around corner. Always got parked there too.
We stayed in the Deluxe Double Rooms with Ensuite with wonderful showers.

âEverything was fantastic after we got our key but what happened was it was too much noisy and in the bathrooms there was no hand wash but room wise fantastic had no problem and hopefully there was a fan there because it gets quite hot in there but overall a fantastic place to go to and I go every 1 to 2 weeks and I like that itâs in one place where I got food near me and corner shops so yeh â

"Lite Àldre stil pÄ rummen, men rent och frÀscht. Nyrustat badrum. JÀttetrevligt lÀge och bra med fri parkering. VÀldigt varm pÄ rummet dÄ det var ca 30 grader ute, ingen ca, men flÀkt fanns som hjÀlpte lite. Trevligt att radion med musik var pÄ nÀr vi kom in i rummet. Rymligt med dubbelsÀng, skrivbord och soffa. Otroligt centralt lÀge med mysig uteplats."
