“As expected, 2nd time we’ve stayed there, great location for us (5 adults and four dogs), roomy, clean, wonderful living area and kitchen. The outdoor area was great- the outdoor grill was used every morning for cooking breakast. The grounds were wonderful for the dogs!Convenient for our family event and close to Winona for grocery shopping!”

“Property is as listed. It is a fully operational farm so keep that in mind. We went up for a race weekend @ Deer creek speedway. Does offer amenities including washer, dryer, toaster, stove/oven, and refrigerator. Pull out sofa along with some cots. Shower and toilet, it is also equipped with ac/heat. Does have a barn available ( more or less camping ). Would visit again. ”

“Dan was super nice and accommodating. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, look elsewhere. It you want a large, clean farmhouse, this place is for you. Being a working family farm, expect to see a tractor or two going in and out. We really enjoyed sitting on the wrap around porch with a book watching the cows. Lilly, the family's dog, was super friendly and may come to visit you. We will definitely go back! Thanks again Dan!”

“Nice place to stay”

“We had a great time visiting with our kiddos and friends over the 4th if July. Karen made sure we had what we needed. Thr kids loved snuggling the bunny and hiking with goats. We picked berries and gathered mushrooms. Overall a great time! Do be prepared that there is very spotty cell coverage, so be ready to navigate "old school". ”

“The house was perfect. The property was the perfect distance from town. The only thing you'd hear when stepping out onto the back deck was quiet and birds. There were window ac's and fans in every room and four quaint bedrooms. It was exactly like the pictures. I will definitely be staying here again in the future. The owners were fantastic, answering any questions I had and check in was super easy and there were farm fresh eggs.”

“We loved this farmhouse. It was set in the bluffs of Southeastern Mn and it was beautiful! The rooms were spacious and fit all of us nicely. Loved the big kitchen! We managed with 1 bathroom and 11 of us which was not ideal, but accurate for a farm home. Most farmhouses only had 1 bathroom with large families. This house was located in close proximity to town, but far enough away to feel like you were definitely in the country. Our family is already talking about coming back in the future. ”

“My family enjoyed our stay at Blackhammer Hus! The property itself is beautiful and the owners have really done a great job with the renovations - it’s a nice mix of modern and antique. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms are up to date and modern. Nice common areas and beds were comfortable. I would highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a beautiful quiet place to stay. If I’m ever in the area again I would stay here in a heartbeat!”
