Loved that the door locked automatically from outside when closed...made me feel comfortable that the thought of my pup accidentally getting out was less of a risk. Despite the bad weather we had, I recommend and will stay here again!”

“This is the second year in a row (anniversary trip in the same cabin) we have come here since we discovered it. We had such an amazing time. The cabin had every thing you could need. We were able to cook our own food and bbq. Catch our own fish. Nice fresh air. Adequate lighting at night. The bed was super comfy. The owners are super friendly and come to greet us in public ! Check in/out process is super easy. Honestly I really hated to leave. I cannot wait until next year when we go back !!!! ”

“This was the perfect place for a retreat with a mix of southern hospitality and the country life not far from civilization. Mitsy and Jason were the best host we’ve had thus far. They do their best to ensure you have fun and relaxing experience with all of the games, ATV and trails as well as the hot tub! You won’t be disappointed we definitely weren’t. Be sure to visit the pigs especially Jolene and her mini Jolene’s and big ole Mac. Lol ask for a conversation with petunia. ”

“Cabin was in such a private location but with all the amenities you could want. The county road to the cabin is pretty primitive but totally worth it. Kayaks were a great perk and fishing from the dock was fun, even if we didn't catch anything. Kitchen was well appointed and the bathrooms were large and super clean. No need to take towels or shampoo or soap or toilet paper/paper towels; all provided. Those are little things that set this property a step above most. Comfy couches in the living...

“I always try to "kidnap" my husband for his birthday just to relax and getaway... This was the perfect place for that.We did some fishing and watched the birds and relaxed in the cabin when it was too hot outside. Would definitely go again”

“Perfect for a weekend getaway! Just 15 miles from historic downtown Jefferson where we spent the days. Then back to the cabin on Lake of the Pines to watch the sunset on the porch of the cabin. So quiet the only noise was the birds at the water and the squirrels chattering and playing. ”
