“The best escape that we could use have hoped for! Beautiful views and songbird symphonies in the morning. Had sunshine and a thunderstorm to enjoy, couldn’t have been a better stay!”

“This was our second visit to Walden and, as with the first time, it did not disappoint. We were there for 3 nights and had the property all to ourselves. It was very relaxing watching the river flow by slowly and the dogs had a blast playing in the field. Deer were everywhere in the morning and at dusk. We will be back again for sure.”

“I could have sat on the porch our whole boss and watches the river and the mountain. I heard or saw 56 species of birds. Ther are wonderful fireplaces I side and out. The cabin's interior is clean, modern, and nicely furnished. 2e couldn't have hoped for more!”

“The cabin is wonderful and the grounds are amazing. Unlike other spots along this road, we had cell service. Everything is there that you would need. Bring a couple more rolls of TP and paper towels. The screened in porch is the perfect place to eat, watch the river, play games. Beds are comfortable with extra blankets if needed. Convenient to Skyline Drive, Luray, the caverns, and hikes.”

“The house was clean and everything was as described/pictured. The driveway is steep and a little scary which I had read in other reviews and nothing an SUV can't handle. Great stay!”

“This was a great little get away tucked away in the mountains. The check in process was super easy, and it was very clean. ”

“Place was clean and organized. Nice location. We really liked the back porch for watching the sun come up while drinking our coffee. We enjoyed using the propane grill and fire pit that are located on the deck. The hot tub was clean, and worked great, an awesome evening activity. Short 5 minute walk to the river with beautiful views. Would easily come back again. Heating and air conditioning work nicely, as it was warm during the day's and cold at night. We have no complaints. ”

“My husband and I (and our pups) spent an amazing week in the cabin during the fall. The cabin itself is very clean, well appointed, and modern. It is obvious that the hosts carefully thought through what guests would expect from such a nice property. The has a large deck with an amazing view to the valley below.
