Locked out...

We arrived at the property about an hour prior to check in. We messaged the owner and unfortunately they were firm on move in time. To enter the home there was a key pad with a 4 digit code. Our first impression of the house was... old. The decor and odor of the house gave the impression that it had been closed up for awhile. Upon further investigation the house was dusty but not dirty. The single beds were comfortable with extra padding and the bedding was clean. The kitchen had most necessities to cook but the refrigerator and stove/oven were miniature. It states that in the description of the house. The backyard lacks any appeal. No seating to enjoy the sunshine. Our last night on the property was a disaster. After a very long day we were tired and couldn't wait to shower and rest. When we got to the house at 11:30pm we attempted the code but it didn't work. We tried for 20 minutes to unlock the door and it wouldn't unlock. We tried locking it then unlocking it. I recorded us trying this over and over. We decided to contact the property owner to no avail. We called approximately a dozen times over the next half hour. We tried emailing him too but nothing. We did not know what to do. We were locked out of the house with no way to get in. It was after midnight at this point and we had an early flight the next day.

Clean, quiet, spacious

The house was very clean and spacious. It is located in a very nice part of Temple Terrace -- quiet, beautiful, and in walking distance to one of my favorite parks in Temple Terrace, Riverhills park. Very minimally decorated and adequately furnished, the best part of the house is the library. Both walls are lined with books, and has a lift chair at the end of rhe room next to a small table and reading lamp. The table in the middle of the library is an outdoor type table with outdoor chairs that is best for crafts or puzzles. I used this table as a dining room table due to adequate size. In between the kitchen and library sits a very cute, small round table and 2 chairs. Good for 1 person and will work for 2 if no extra dishes are used. Kitchen is comprised of metal industrial counters with a huge, deep industrial sink. There is a tabletop oven with 2 built in burners on top. Works well. The owners supplied drinks and K cups. The living room is spacious with a configurable couch and a chair and a standing lamp. Watched many movies here with the Roku TV. The bathrooms are well stocked and the showers have very high water pressure. Each bedroom has a twin bed with a foam top that ultimately improved sleep quality, a table next to the bed, and a Roku TV. No dressers. Very sufficient closet storage. The owners were very kind, considerate, very responsive, and flexible. They live very close to the house and therefore any help needed is addressed quickly.

Lovely home in a beautiful neighborhood

This home is exactly as described, clean and well-maintained. For book lovers, there is a huge library. Thoughtful little touches here and there show the hosts care about providing a pleasant experience. For people who like to prepare complete meals, the kitchen facilities are limited, with a hotel-size refrigerator and a compact countertop cooker. Also, I hadn't slept in a twin bed in a long time and missed the space of a regular bed. I wondered why only two twin beds were provided for the house. The description says it sleeps 3 but one person would need to sleep on a vinyl couch, and couples would need to sleep in separate bedrooms. The host was prompt and gracious in coming to my aid when the door lock stopped working and I couldn't get in. Guests should be careful around the wire rack shelves unit in the kitchen, which is wobbly---I bumped it and knocked down breakable items.

I had a lovely stay here! The place was very clean and the hosts were kind and prompt. The beds are not the comfiest to the touch but we slept just fine. I plan on booking for future visits whenever possible!

Needs updating

The twin beds were hard, the internet didn’t work, there is no washer and dryer which there is more than enough room for, also there is a dorm size fridge which there is enough room for a standard one! And no stove which there is room for one! It smells like the house was burned. That’s how the kitchen has been rearranged. Overall the owners were nice the area was nice and quiet!
