“A cottage well off the beaten track. No TV and wifi for 2 nights. Then it rained and the cloud was low so sightseeing was out of the question. Spent the day blobbing out reading and DVD watching. Best possible place to spend a day doing this.”

“Host did not greet us or leave milk for tea & coffee. Host 2 dogs were the only friendly ones at the property although first night they barked all night and one was very thin and was looking for food. No firepit, which we were looking forward to at night. Outlook was disappointing as main view was looking at old shed and old machinery and timber lying around. No WiFi and poor TV reception. We would not return 😒”

“We loved this property so much. Sweeping views of the hills, cosy fireplace with plenty of fire wood, plenty of space, lovely cottage garden and lawn, great location, friendly and kind hosts who were very responsive, and a very friendly sheep called Flossy! You can tell that a lot of effort has gone into creating a perfect stay and it has paid off. We’ll be back.”

“We had a lovely stay for 4 nights at the Modern Victoria. It is located in a great spot, walking distance to cafes, pubs and shops. The home was well-equipped, spacious and very comfortable. Often it is hard to find accommodation suitable for a young family and dog, but this ticked all the boxes.”

“We had a wonderful stay! Joanne is a great host who communicates very clearly. My husband and I, along with our 4month old baby and 3 YO dog, stayed at the cottage for two nights. The quant cottage is comfortable and well set up. A beautiful claw foot bathtub and the fireplace add to its charm. The cottage is also great for dogs and kids with a generous sized yard.”

If you are looking to have a wonderful place to stay where you can experience Australia all around you, this is the place. Kangaroos in the yard, birds singing in the trees, a magnificent view across a largely undisturbed valley. “Great property, facilities and supplies were very good. Our main issue was the bunk beds do not have much head height on the lower bunk, and we could not use the top bunks for the kids as the safety rails only just reached the top of the mattress and they would fall out if rolled in the night. Otherwise very happy with the cabin and hosts.”
