“This house is small but just right for 2 people. Did not need the upstairs bunks. Had all the kitchen utensils needed. The only concern was the totally dry Sabinal River behind it. Property was clean and well-organized…everything in good working order. Quiet and comfortable.”

“This little cabin is exactly what we were hoping for! Secluded, great covered patios in front and back, and back patio is so relaxing! Hummingbird feeder, bird feeders and birdbath all get a lot of activity, plus a great view of the deer, turkeys and hogs when they come out to eat. This place had everything we needed…charcoal grill, cookware, coffee, etc. very clean as well. Buddy the cat was great company too! Definitely would come back!”

“The property is well maintained and supplied with plenty of towels and other supplies. Our 13 year old niece spent her days perusing the shore and found a lizard and a salamander. The porch is excellent and would come back in a heartbeat.”

“My family and I came to town for a wedding and chose to stay at the Guin House. Excellent location, had everything you could have wanted, and felt like walking into your great grandparents. We enjoyed our stay and the location. My only complaints are the house is in dire need of a deep clean. Dirt, leaves, sticks, and cobwebs were everywhere. Nails need to be tended to on the deck. “This was a nice, mostly clean, well appointed, secluded property. Although most of the property was very clean and comfortable, one of the guest bedrooms had someone's dirty socks and some dead bugs in it so I assumed it had not been cleaned. Check-in was not as smooth as I'm used to at VRBOs. I received no check in instructions, so called the host 5 minutes before check in time and she seemed bit overwhelmed. My call was met with “can I call you back”. vs "hello". She did call right back and...

“Just what I needed! Wish I came sooner when it was cooler for more hiking but weather was still wonderful. Saw the Ring of Fire Totality eclipse on that Monday 4/8/24. Dark skies with stars shining at night with a lightening storm one night. Everything was exactly as I hoped for during my stay. I will be back and perhaps bring a companion! Thank you!”
