“Lovely open plan living areas with open fire in main lounge , large deck of living areas , bathrooms for every bedroom . Steps down to lake which is great . Wonderful time had by everyone , will definately stay there again . Recommend this home to anyone and everyonelooking for a relaxed, enchanting stay .”

“Very clean and enough beds for 6 males. Garage nice and big to store mountain bikes safely. Great help from property manager and other staff when we left key inside house and went out garage door and shut it. They came around in a timely manner and opened house. Will book again”

“Lovely place to stay and look out over the lake. Kids enjoyed being able to play in the reserve. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of bathroom availability for the large group we had. ”

“Had a couple of nights here and really enjoyed the relaxing, rustic atmosphere. Fireplace was a lovely addition and kept the place feeling cosy all weekend. Was a bit tricky finding the house in the dark, but as long as you know it's behind the front house, then it's no issue at all. Definitely keen to come stay here again.”

“This is a great original kiwi bach for a relaxed family holiday. It is compact but had all that we required, with lots of space outside and easy walking distance to the lake.”

“Property had a great garden and views of the lake. House was very big considering it is only 3 bedroom, you could have loud chatter in the dining area and not hear a thing from the far bedrooms. Only negative was that the deck/BBQ was looking a bit tired, needed a bit of TLC.”

It was clean and warm and had really nice touches like the books under the coffee table and the super soft blankets on the beds. “Great that the cottage has the option to take your pet. Unsure whether cleaning is an option somehow (it was automatically added to the booking when I used wotif). I’d recommend the owners not make self cleaning an option, or to check in/reassess the cleaner used. Whilst the property is superficially cleaned, it really needs a thorough clean between guests and “stuff” should be packed away neatly or put into storage (contents in the laundry, rooms, etc). “We were very happy with the property, very well presented, it had everything we needed. It really is a great property we had the best time there, lots of laughs and great memories. Would definitely recommend this house and if staying in Taupo again would definitely stay there again.”
